Maximum coziness (I appreciated the hot chocolate, popcorn, and ice cream) on two chilly fall nights. Jacki and Chris were extraordinarily welcoming. I woke up early after my first night to watch the sun rise and walk through the stand of trees on the property and also enjoyed the paved trail around Dannebrog to Hannibal's Woods nature trail (recommended by the hosts in the listing). The ambiance of the cabin was in a class of its own: excellent lighting options, climate control, and beautiful flourishes in the decor/outfitting of the cabin. The vibe is magical (fairytale princess or green witch, you pick). No kidding, a small warbler (?) visited the window over the sink while I was doing dishes. Loved being able to open the windows during the warm breezy parts of the days I stayed. The old-timey am/fm radio plus bluetooth speaker was a nice touch. We arrived later in the evening to find this wonderful little Hallmark Cottage, in a little forest strung with lights to welcome us. A great little porch with a small table and chairs where we were able sit, relax and unwind after driving through quite a rain storm. In the morning we sat on the porch, enjoying a cup of coffee and a fantastic view. Sitting in a little enchanted forest, including a cute littke building in the trees, we decided that it must be a trolls home. Smelling the fresh air after a nights rain, the rooster crowing, i never wanted to leave.
