Rustic Cottage Retreat
- This Rustic Cabin Retreat is surrounded by trees for privacy on 5+ acres, but is very close to town for the conveniences you may want while on a getaway! Cabin offers a full kitchen, bath, living room with wood fireplace, main floor bedroom with a set of double bunk beds, and a loft with a queen bed. The outside is full of trees, a trail, a small pond, and the creek. Wilderness galore with deer, turkeys, birds of all kinds! There's a "kid's fort" nestled into the trees that offers a little fun privacy for the includes a mini fridge, microwave, bean bags, futon in the loft, and a TV for watching DVD's.

The kitchen was fully equipped, and we really enjoyed the wood‑burning fireplace — the stacked firewood was such a thoughtful touch. We stayed over Christmas to visit family, and the property was perfect for letting our dogs roam the acreage. We were close to town to get out to go eat or shopping.

Wonderful place! We loved the cute cabin, the country atmosphere, the creek in back and sandhill cranes. Very accommodating owner: we originally booked 2 nights during crane season and ended up staying 5!
