I would stay here again. The place is not super fancy, but I kind of like that. The room had a full fridge and freezer and a couple of hot pads for cooking (pots, silverware, plates, cups, etc were provided). The coin laundry was nice and they had quarters I could buy. The ocean, of course, is amazing! My only complaint is the sheets - they are a bit scratchy.

The staff was friendly at check in and check out as well as the cashier in the gift shop and Greg, the bartender. The property is definitely dated, the pools that were open were not clean (guests had literally written their names in the grime on the walls of the pool), and they have a long way to go to get the property back to the pre-hurricane condition. I agree with the other guests that a resort fee should not be charged until the amenities are fully available again. Our room was clean with the exception of some tiny ant size bugs in our bathroom and kitchenette area. Since we were not planning on eating in our room we weren't too concerned about them as there are always going to be bugs in Florida. We would consider staying there again once the property is cleaned up a little more and in a different location aside from the upper level of the garden area as those steps were tiresome after taking several trips with our belongings.

We’ve been going there for over thirty years. Staff is excellent! The cottage we stayed in this time had a terrible, rock hard bed. The sprinklers turn on at 5:00am for at least an hour and hit the cottage windows and roof like a hurricane. The neighbors wake you up with their barking dog every morning. The loudmouths on the balcony, at the resort next door, which yell to converse when sitting two feet from each other, until 1:00am every night. We are going to look for a different location next time. Or, at least staying in a different part of the resort, away from the high priced cottages from hell!
