“Exceptionally clean! Thought it was brand new but it is several years old. Decent sized workout room, coffe/tea in the lobby all day. Friendly helpful staff. Spacious room, with couch and second tv separated by a half wall, microwave, fridge, coffee/tea maker, and safe. Water bottles for purchase. Really comfy bed and pillows. Plenty of towels. One lamp/outlet did not work, but there were plenty to go around. Only stayed one night but i would stay again.”

“Gooseberry Cottage is set back in the birch and pine forest on the coast of Madeline Island. It's very peaceful, charming and comfortable. I was there to visit with my best friend from grade school and her significant other and meet other friends and family staying at other cabins on Madeline Island. We buried my parents' ashes in Greenwood Cemetery after a small and convivial service celebrating my mother's life as she died last year. We also walked the beach, visited the cliffs at Big Bay...
