We loved our stay in this Masseria. The staff, the room and the premises were outstanding and I must emphasize their breakfast table,which was included in my price, it was amazing and delicious, the staff went all out of their way to please us and make us feel wonderful during our stay!! Beatrice gave us great recommendations for Matera and was very attentive and eager to make us feel welcome. I would recommend this Masseria without hesitation!! Wonderful and beautiful place!!

This was the MOST AMAZING place I have ever stayed at. This is not a hotel it's truly an experience. From the minute you walk in the doors you are transformed back in time. I have traveled alot it is my job and this is a one of a kind. The staff is outrageously qualified and beyond helpful. The room amazing. The food and culture exceedEd my expectations. This is an amazing family owned and family run hotel…we met the whole family and they are amazing! Great hotel…beautiful grounds…great pool…and amazing restaurant/food…find an excuse to go to Potenza so you can stay there!

Great location if u are w a car; staff was very attentive, room was lovely and very functional and breakfast was great w variety and fresh items. Antonella checked me in and since the gym was not open, she let me borrow 2 weights so I could work out in my room; both male bartenders in the evening (my apologies, I did not get their names) were so accommodating and Laura at breakfast on Sunday was so lovely and attentive. GREAT hotel when u visit Matera.

Clean room, the owner Frank is a very nice person. He provided us a lot of information. Breakfast was nice as well. The road from highway to the property is rough, but once you get there, it’s really a nice place.

Everything was clean, neat, and quickly checked in. Only challenge was learning to use the washer as instructions were minimal and power on button was finicky.

We had an amazing stay at the Cenobio Hotel! It can be a bit tricky to find if it's your first time in Matera, and you can't drive directly to the hotel. Plus, there are some steps to navigate both downhill and uphill. Knowing this from other reviews, we contacted the hotel before our arrival. They arranged a shuttle from the car park, which made things super easy for us. I highly recommend doing this if you're planning to stay here. The property is very clean

La Suite del Faro sits in a residential area on a hill with outstanding views of Scalea and the sea. The outdoor area is a beautiful large terrace, where we enjoyed a splendid breakfast served by the hosts. The room felt luxurious with a very comfortable bed, mini fridge, and great bathroom. Matera is a unique town and this hotel captures the special qualities. Each room is different and because it is part of the cave infrastructure of the town, some rooms are dark. I'd ask for a room with widows and terrace if going back.

Wonderful property right in the heart of the Stassi (definitely don’t stay in this area of Matera if you don’t like stairs!). The room itself was beautiful and one of the most unique and memorable stays of our trip. The breakfast had many delicious options. The staff were very welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very nice hotel, in a remote area of italy , but a great stop along your drive to the west coast... Everyone was happy to help us , they spoke little english , but went out of there way to help.. The restaurant was GREAT, the chief made a amazing meal... the suff tried so hard to help and understand us.. we made it work and it was a great overnight stop and stay for some rest
