"We booked the Hotel for one night because we wanted to do a trip to Tortuguero with a boat from Moin. Because I got sick we didn't end up going and stayed at this place for 3 nights. When we first got there, we were confused because there are two Hotels with very similar name: a "Hotel Playa Bonita" and this place "Hotel Boutique Playa Bonita". This Hotel does not have a sign with the name anywhere and the building we stayed in actually said "Maribe". But the very nice lady at the front desk...

Booked a bed in the dorm and when I arrived the hostel told me they only take reservations over whatsapp even though I had a confirmation for my two night stay booking on expedia. "The property was cute but the room was not -- it had some kind of debris falling from the ceiling and onto the the bed, which was worrisome. Not sure if it was dust, wood, or pest waste. No air conditioning and there's wi-fi in the restaurant area, which is hundreds of feet away from the rooms. Dinner not always available (there was a private event that precluded other guests from having dinner) but did have a good breakfast."
