“The beach at French Man Cove us beautiful, and can visited by purchasing a pass for the day. I'd highly recommend this rather than staying at the hotel. The hotel is old, dilapidated in places and very dark at night. The kettle in the room produced very dirty water on first use, so was not used again. The AC unit outside is noisy, and leaks water onto the balcony. There is wooden block stick provided to secure the balcony door, as I assume locks don't work. The beds within the rooms are……

“Friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed environment situated on a cliff with a great view overlooking the ocean. The cabin I stayed in was clean, however I would have preferred an actual door to separate the bathroom from the bedroom, and not just a curtain. Two outdoor pools, clean and well maintained. Breakfast options are limited, and may not be to everyone’s liking.”

“The view from the property overlooking the sea was beautiful and phenomenal. The room space was sufficient and clean. What I didn’t like was the fact that to get there, the drive up to the house was very steep and if you don’t know how to handle the drive, it’s problematic. The second thing I didn’t like was that while the property boasted about having a pool, it was only when me and my family arrived we were informed that the pool wasn’t working due to not filtering properly. “Starlight Chalet is a very nice, well maintained classic building with beautiful landscaping. The view is wonderful, especially from upstairs and from the gazebo. The food was very good (but perhaps a bit expensive). The beds were comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean and well-maintained.
