I liked the service provided by the staff at the bar and at the buffet, but I didn’t like the service provided by the reception and the guest relations guest assistance band. There was no chance we could book à la carte restaurants when we got to the resort and no one seems to care to help. I didn’t feel they went beyond their basic service to assist and make the stay enjoyable for the client. I didn’t feel cared for or given attention as a first time client. There was no orientation walk thru the resort by the reception staff - It was our first time at this resort - we were given only a small map attached to the room key card and had to find out about all the amenities/activities locations ourselves, like the bars and the different dining areas. I will not go back again and i will not recommend the stay at Lara Barut. I stayed at Ikos Dassia at Corfu Greece and it was amazing from the reception, to daily service and care throughout the stay till the end. We felt we were cared for for everything with full attention to our needs - very proactive in knowing what the client may need before he needs it. We had the best orientation walk. So, this resort do not deserve a 5 stars resort, according to my and my family personal experience.
