"This was the cleanest motel I've ever stayed in! Not a spec of dust to be seen & we woke up feeling fresh, even with the air con on. The air con unit looked like new, not sure if it was? Staff were lovely & helpful. Gorgeous old school exposed brick look, but definitely 5 star feel 🌟 "

Learn more about Dingo Forest

Check out the local area in Dingo Forest as you venture to sights like Tapin Tops National Park.

Potoroo Falls in Tapin Tops National park is so beautiful. A little walk in to the falls. Very easy walk but a couple of shallow river crossings so you will get wet feet but when you come around the bend and catch site of this spot it is breathtaking!

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Dingo Forest?
The best area to stay in Dingo Forest is the Dingo Forest Village itself, which is the heart of the community and offers convenient access to local amenities.

This central area is where you'll find the general store, the local pub, and the community hall. It's a compact and walkable village, making it easy to stroll to everything you need. The village is surrounded by the lush Dingo Forest, providing a tranquil backdrop.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will appreciate the village's quiet charm and the ease of accessing local walking trails directly from their accommodation. It's an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding forest and enjoying leisurely evenings at the pub.

For families, staying within Dingo Forest Village offers the convenience of having essential services close by, which is particularly helpful with children.
When is the best time to go to Dingo Forest?
The best time to visit Dingo Forest is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), offering pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During autumn, the weather is consistently mild and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). This period is ideal for exploring the region's walking trails and enjoying outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. The autumn foliage also adds a scenic backdrop to the forest landscape.

Spring also provides comfortable temperatures, typically between 18°C and 28°C (64°F to 82°F), and the countryside is vibrant with blooming wildflowers. It's an excellent time for wildlife spotting, as many animals are more active. For couples, this season offers a picturesque setting for romantic getaways, with opportunities for scenic drives and picnics amidst nature.

While summer (December to February) brings warmer temperatures, often exceeding 30°C (86°F), it's also the peak tourist season, meaning more visitors and higher prices.
