There is a Splash Pad and a pool located in the nearby town of Dobson approximately 5 miles away. A short drive will take you to many award winning wineries and to downtown Mt. Airy, also known as Mayberry. Also, a 30 minute drive will take you to Stone Mountain State Park or to the beautiful Pilot Mountain State Park for endless views and hiking. Welcome!! The space Cottage is decorated with period 1800-1850 antiques. The beds have been updated of course. So travel back in time and enjoy for a little while!
Relax on the back porch with a book, work on your laptop, or watch a movie on the second tv.
Sitting on the back patio you can view the cows grazing just past the barn and enjoy the fire pit just outside the back door. Beyond that is the river. Please note there are electric fences on the property and they do produce a mild shock. The gates are not electrified. Guest access Cottage is located approximately 250 yards from the river. We invite you to bring your all terrain vehicles, golf carts, or you are welcome to drive your vehicle or walk through the cow pasture (with the friendly cows and no bull) to the river. Other things to note The 5th bed is a 3/4 converted rope bed so it only sleeps one person comfortably. There are twin beds located in loft space.
Office space can be utilized on the enclosed back porch. There is a drop leaf table that can be pulled up for your convenience with a couple of different size chairs to choose.
We offer keyless entry. Please bring your own fishing gear. No pets please!

The host was awesome. She even checked in twice to see if we needed anything. The home was just like it was described and in a good location. We will return.
Our family was very comfortable in this home. The owners thought of everything! We loved the antiques and country feel. Would definitely recommend to others!
Our family of 7 enjoyed everything about our stay at Bledsoe's River Inn. 100% perfect; clean, homey, comfortable, nicely equipped, relaxing, quiet.
Thank you, Timothy & Alison, appreciate what you do.
Our visit was short for a family reunion but we all wished it could’ve been longer! The house was adorable and just as pictured, check-in/check-out process was so simple.. we even were able to check-in a little early last minute! Very friendly host, would absolutely stay again :)
The farmhouse was very nice and clean. A beautiful setting! We were glad the owners allowed us to bring our side by side to ride through the pasture to the river. We relaxed on the beach next to the river and fished. Since it was summertime we had brought several fans with us and needed them in the bedrooms since the AC unit is in the living room and upstairs room. We enjoyed being close to Mt. Airey and taking the shuttle tour of town.
We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely cottage. Everything we needed was provided. The three bedrooms worked out perfect for Reminded me of my grandparents house in the country. Location is great for visiting local wineries.

The house and property are beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there! It was also nice to meet the owner and spend time talking to him to learn about the property and area.
This house and property are so cozy! It was extremely cold during our stay so we enjoyed cozying up in front of the fireplace and relaxing. We took a walk down to the river which I can imagine is sooo much fun in the warm weather. We definitely plan to return!!
We enjoyed the open outdoor space, the back sunroom for bird watching, and walking through a field of docile cows to get down to the river.
This house is 35 minutes to Stone Mountain, 20 minutes to Pilot Mountain, 7 minutes to a grocery store and a pizza restaurant.
The hosts were very responsive and eager to make our stay enjoyable!
The cottage was very charming. We enjoyed the views of cows and babies in the pasture and was able to experience seeing a newly born calf. The walk through the pasture was beautiful in the morning and took you to a gorgeous spot on the Fisher River. Our boys, 14 and 12 enjoyed fishing and swimming.
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
House was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the walk to the river so much! Host was super quick to respond to questions. Would note that the upstairs bedroom ceiling is a bit low and wouldnt work for people over 6' tall. Only a consideration when traveling with 3 couples.
What a truly exceptional experience! The hosts were simply amazing - warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The amenities were fabulous, from the well-appointed accommodation to the peaceful and private setting that offered a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The highlight was definitely the opportunity to go kayaking on the serene nearby river, allowing us to connect with nature and relax. Additionally, having vineyards and wineries in close proximity was a delightful treat for wine enthusiasts like us. Exploring the local flavors made our trip even more enjoyable.
To top it all off, the snacks provided were a wonderful surprise and added an extra touch of thoughtfulness to our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and create lasting memories. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a tranquil retreat with wonderful hosts and incredible amenities!
