More adventurous pursuits can be found at the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, which are just 7 miles away. For a beach day, the buzzing seaside town of Folkestone (6 miles) has plenty to do for all ages, including a skate park, beaches, shops and restaurants. Continuing along the coast are the beaches of Sandgate and Mermaid (both within 8 miles). Take the family for an animal-packed afternoon at Port Lympne Safari Park or Howletts Wildlife Sanctuary (14 miles). A plethora of towns and villages lie within easy reach, including Dover, Hythe and Deal (all within 14 miles).
