However when it rained ( albeit very heavy rain) leaks came in through the window and floor in two of the rooms. Not sure how safe it is. Not small water ingress, puddles of water. Staff moved me to a smaller single room which also leaked. Worrying as a lot of electrical stuff in areas of water influx! I have asked for a partial refund for the difference in room standard as I did not stay in the suite. Staff blame the rain. "No smile at all in this hotel. Except the gentleman helped us to check in on the very first night! At 1am😊. Surprisingly, Breakfast was very poor & terrible. Stayed just for 2 days & can’t tolerated the poorly breakfast. No air conditioning outside the room. Although, the location is excellent. 2 minutes walk to the shopping street & 15-20’ walk to the bund or Yu garden. It’s not cheap hotel compares to many others surrounding within the area."

"Happy to have the laundry area. Aircon and TV remote were both not that great. The hotel needs upgrading. Staff were really nice and accommodating.
For backpackers, this is an okay accommodation. One thing is good, it’s proximity to moat of tourist spots in Shanghai. "
