“We love love LOVED our stay here!!! Just thinking about our time here makes me want to be back in Costa Rica!! I thought it might not be our kind of place - and I also didn't realise the Corcovado day trip boats could pick you up from there - but I chose to spend a couple of nights there so that we'd be half-way along the Drake Bay Trail. But it actually turned out to be one of our favourite stays in Costa rica (and we traveled the country for a month!). Firstly, it was right on a beautiful……

“Great place with great staff! The beach in front has amazing sand (no rocks) and gentle waves. Food was delicious and tours were super easy to book.”

“The cabina had an extra extraordinary view. We loved that the bedrooms were closed off and did have air conditioning, but that the rest of the unit was completely open The house cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning every morning I had laundry done, and it was very reasonably priced and done very well The unit is within walking distance to almost everything but best of all the beach is right there!”

“Habitación amplia, baño amplio, refrigerador amplio, camas muy confortables, mucha limpieza. Mauricio en la recepción muy atento. Muy cerca de todo. Lo mejor que desde el balcón se pueden ver tucanes y otras aves, como lapas; son una belleza. Definitivamente volveré.”

“The Drake Bay Getaway was an unexpected delight! Views from the room were exquisite, as each villa is perched on a hillside with an ocean view. The manager was extremely helpful and spent time explaining about the surrounding area and animal life. We felt as if we were staying with family! Meals were beautifully prepared, offering a sampling of the local food. The location was great too, allowing for quiet relaxation, yet still convenient for activities.”

“The welcome by being collected on the beach and having our luggage taken to the room was a nice touch. The room itself was clean and the view was gorgeous. We were disappointed with the general service, particularly in the hotels restaurant. We booked a table on the first evening and it wasn't ready when we arrived, with the staff seeming stressed at our arrival. We were sat down 15 minutes late and the food took over an hour to arrive, during which time we were not visited once by the staff……

“The choices for breakfast were great since it had something for everyone, while the pool was a great recovery location after hiking along the paths in and around Corcovado national park!”

“Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds. It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. ”

“Wer Luxus mag ist hier falsch. Sehr einfache Unterkunft im Jungle mit einem so herzliche lieben Gastgeber. Das Essen ist toll die Lage im Jungle sucht ihres gleichen. Die Touren die Angebot werden sind definitiv authentischer als jene welche man in der Sirena Station geboten bekommt. ( die Tierdichte ist hier allerdings geringer und wie bei Wildtieren natürlich auch Glückessache) Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist schon das erste Abenteuer...Parkplatz steht kostenlos zur Verfügung ca 10 Minuten von der……

“We were prepared for no hot water, no AC, no cell service, but we were not prepared for the overall shady communication, vibes and charges. We booked this hotel to be close to Corcovado, and booked a tour with the hotel. When we asked for details, they said they said that the communication from Expedia was poor, and they only booked our snorkeling tour. We asked to cancel the snorkeling because the national park was our priority. She said they couldn't because they already bought the tickets.……
