“Bij ontvangst al direct een hartelijke begroeting. De gastheer/eigenaar is het toonbeeld van gastvrijheid. We waren voor de eerste keer hier met vrienden (2 stellen) en hadden twee dagen prachtige fietsroutes door de omgeving. Parkeren konden we al op de aankomstdag om 10:00 uur. Na een mooie fietsdag om ca 17:00 eerst de fietsen in de stalling geplaatst en daarna naar de eenvoudige maar keurige kamers. Voldoende fijn badtextiel. Op de kamer koffie/thee voorziening. “We had an exceptional "birthday stay," after enjoying a day and evening in Deventer. Everything was super great: Reception personnel, the room, the bed, the shower with wonderful-smelling bath gel, the view. Parking was easy, close, lots of available spaces. It made it seamless to buy ferry tickets at the hotel. The ferry to the city center was less than a 5 minute walk. We didn't have dinner at the hotel, but breakfast options were extensive, high quality and satisfying, including the coffee……

“I've been riding a bicycle across the Netherlands to experience the country's bike friendly infrastructure and booked the hotel closest to the Kröller-Müller Museum. It turned out to be a welcoming resort with a fine restaurant -- where I got a great lamb dinner including broccoli with a tasty Hollandais sauce (of coarse). The breakfast was also nice with a buffet including fresh squeezed fruit drinks and most items made in their own kitchen. The staff was very helpful, even making a point to……

“On arrival, the main entrance was locked due to an event taking place around the hotel, so I had to find my way in through a side entrance. Reception then informed me I’d need a room key to use the main door, which doesn’t make much sense for a guest who hasn’t checked in yet and has no key. On top of that, water pressure in the shower was quite low, and at 8:30 AM on checkout day, there was nobody at the reception desk to check me out. Possibly just a string of bad luck, but between these……

“Very central location really close to the main dining street of Doetinchem. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds. We had a problem with water pressure in our second floor room floor and they offered to change our room when we brought it to their attention. ”
