Villa Petra is a three bedroom villa with a private pool located in a quiet place called Zastolje in the region of Konavle. Ten kilometres north from it is Cavtat and 30 kilometres Croatian pearl town Dubrovnik.This house offers a perfect and peaceful holiday for anyone looking for a getaway from their usual responsibilites and jobs. Konavle is a region with particular natural beauties and contrasts: mountain and valley, green hills and naked stone, it is well–known for characteristic atmosphere,customs and folklore and particularly for their candid, cordial and cheerful hosts.

Villa Petra
A lovely villa in a very peaceful and beautiful spot. The villa was spacious, clean and well furnished. The garden and pool were lovely. It is 5 min drive from small supermarkets and a pizza place, 20 min from an amazing beach, 30 min from a small town with lots of restaurants and boat transfers to Dubrovnik. The hosts were so helpful - met us on arrival and took us to the villa and also responded to questions on text message. Every other day when they cleaned the pool they'd also leave us a small gift of food which was really kind - cherries, chocolates. We’d definitely recommend this villa and would definitely go back.

Beautiful location, lovely property
The property was in a stunning location and the views from the balcony and pool were amazing. The house was in a convenient position relatively close to the airport, supermarkets and the lovely town of Cavtat, with Dubrovnik easily accessible by boat or car. The pool was super clean, and pool table and table tennis table were brilliant and much used. The property was nice inside, modern and well equipped with much needed air-conditioning. There was also a BBQ which was great, but because the main accommodation was on the first floor and the BBQ was on the ground floor there was a bit of ferrying food up and down when we used it. Petra was lovely to deal with and very responsive. We had a brilliant holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday at this immaculate villa, well equipped with gorgeous pool and gardens,in a superb location with easy access to Montenegro as well as the beautiful resorts in Croatia. Wonderful and generous hosts, leaving a stocked fridge for our first evening and regular gifts of ice creams and other goodies. Pool was cleaned every other day by Petra’s dad. Location stunning scenery. A car is definitely needed, but the peace and quiet of the location made for a relaxing holiday. One of the best places we have stayed.

Amazing stay at villa Petra, everything was perfect and the lovely tray of food and wine left for us when we arrived late was very much appreciated. Petra’s dad very kindly left treats for us every time he cleaned the pool. Brilliant hosts,Lovely quiet location but you could drive everywhere quite easily. We will be back!

Best villa ever. Owners were fantastic.
The villa itself was amazing. A superb location, private, with a spectacular view over vineyards, with mountains behind. The house was spotless, with everything for a perfect stay. The pool was fantastic too, and not overlooked. The owners were brilliant and helpful beyond anything we could have hoped for. They cleaned the pool every other day, early in the morning - long before we were up - and left kind treats for us. When our daughter was ill, they arranged a doctor's appointment and accompanied us there. We couldn't have hoped for a better holiday. Thank-you.

Fabulous Villa
We had the most amazing holiday in this beautiful Villa. Villa Petra is spotless clean and in the perfect location with stunning views. It’s very well equipped with a beautiful garden and pool area for a relaxing stay. There is a fabulous beach a short drive away, a bakery in the village and a couple of supermarkets with all you need. There were bikes at the Villa to use and we did cycle to the bakery one morning for fresh goods. On arrival at the Villa we were left a lovely welcome of meat and cheese, wine, olive oil, milk, butter, bread and a homemade liqueur, everything you could possibly need. Petra was very helpful and her father came to clean the pool every other morning and very kindly would leave us, wine, juice, ice cream and beer. I can’t rate this property highly enough it was perfect and Petra and her parents went above and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic place to chill out
A wonderful property set in a fantastic location. A car is necessary but the journey from the main highway isn't too far or difficult. Petra and her family looked after us from start to finish. They were very welcoming and got us settled in. The gifts left by Petra's father were a really nice touch and greatly appreciated. The property itself has all you need for a self catering holiday. We loved the pool and the games tables. We also got to know the neighbours and their two friendly dogs. The nearby shops have a sufficient range but I would recommend talking a trip to the Lidl which is an easy 30 min drive away. Nearby restaurants were nice and food was good everywhere we tried. I would definitely recommend the property and the area especially if what you are after is a chilled break and are prepared to drive a bit to see the sights.

Wonderful Stay
We had such a lovely stay at Villa Petra. Petra and her family were wonderful hosts, meeting us from the airport, leaving us with a wonderfully stocked fridge and taking tine to show is where all the local sights were. We couldnt have asked for more! Our boys appreciated the lovely ice creams Petras dad left for us all and spent hours and hours in the pool! You do need a car but the villa is conveniently located and surrounded by breathtaking countryside. Thanks so much! X

Wonderful!
Huge thank you to Petra and her family for an amazing holiday in Croatia. The villa is in a gorgeous peaceful setting surrounded by hills and woodland with incredible views. It is well equipped, spacious and immaculate. The pool is spotlessly clean, a good size and the gardens are beautiful. Petra met us just outside the airport in an easy to find location and we followed her to the villa, even though we were delayed and arrived late in the evening. She was very welcoming and friendly, showed us around the villa and shared her local knowledge and all her recommendations were fabulous! She had provided a platter of local meat and cheese, beer, wine, fruit from their beautiful garden together with other provisions which was a godsend for us as supermarkets were closed due to our late arrival. Petra's dad came every other day to clean the pool early in the morning and remove our rubbish leaving little gifts of beer or wine which was so kind and thoughtful. You do need to hire a car but driving is easy, the roads are good and the villa is in a great location. 20 mins from the airport, 1/2 hr from Dubrovnik and 10-15 min drive from beautiful Cavtat and some stunning local beaches. Petra was kind enough to accommodate a late check out for us too. We cannot recommend this villa and area enough. Our hosts were excellent and all the thoughtful little touches just made our stay that extra bit special. Thank you so much Petra and family we hope to return.

Beautiful Villa Holiday.
We had the loveliest holiday at Villa Petra! The views surrounding the villa are breathtaking and it is set in such a peaceful and beautiful place. Petra and Ivo were always on hand to help us or answer questions. Ivo came every other day to make sure the pool was spotless and left tasty treats for our family. He even brought a pool inflatable one day for our youngest who is two. The hospitality was fantastic! We had such a great time. Thank you so much.

Wonderful holiday home
We loved our stay at Villa Petra. It’s a brilliant property in a wonderfully peaceful location (yet an easy drive to al the main sights) Facilities were great (air conditioning got a hard workout in the current heatwave!) and a lot of time was spent either in the spacious pool or playing table tennis. Petra and her dad were ever so friendly and could not do enough from advice of where to go to pastries and cold beers left on the doorstep in the morning. It’s a great part of the world to visit and Villa Petra is the perfect place for a family stay.

Fantastic property with stunning views
A truly amazing peaceful property in a gorgeous setting, surrounded by woodland & hills but only a 20mins drive from Dubrovnik airport, 15mins from secluded beaches & 10 mins from great restaurants. Petra & her Dad are the perfect hosts, with communication prior to arrival being prompt & helpful & throughout our stay, the local food & drinks were such a lovely thought & most welcome too! Thank you! Villa Petra is extremely well equipped ( indoors & outdoors) with a beautiful pool & is immaculate throughout. We certainly hope to return! Thank you for a lovely Croatian experience 🙂

Absolutely Amazing!
We cannot thank Petra and her father enough for the time we had staying in their beautiful villa. The communication with Petra right from the start was great. The villa was so clean and clearly very well looked after by the family. We were so pleasantly surprised to have a wonderful selection of local meats, cheeses, bread and fruit on our arrival as well as being given warm croissants in the mornings. The location is also amazing- a view of the beautiful hills can be seen from every room and our evenings were spent relaxing on the terrace. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and for making our very first summer family vacation away such a memorable one!

Excellent villa with incredible views and a lovely pool. Petra and her father were amazing hosts bringing fresh fruit and vegetables every couple of days as well as treats for the children. There is also a fruit and vegetable garden with so many varieties of fruit and veg which we were told we could help ourselves to. I can’t recommend this villa enough. We had an amazing stay!

From the moment we arrived in Croatia to the moment we left we have had the best holiday. Our host Petra was so lovely, her and her father met us on our arrival and drove us to the villa. I was lost for words. The views are spectacular and when we got through the door everything was perfect. Our hosts had left us a platter of local meats and cheese and that also went in hand with refreshments for our children and ice creams which was a welcome sight in the heat. The villa was like being at home. Clean, fully furnished and everything we needed for our stay. Petra showed us the top places to visit on a map and we took the opportunity to do everything she advised. Petra’s father visited every other day early enough as to not disturb us and cleaned the pool and tended the gardens. He also left presents for the children which was so thoughtful. I cannot thank Petra and her family enough for making our stay a pleasant one. We hope to be back next year. Thank you

Rural Idyll in the Konavle valley only 30km from Dubrovnik
We had a lovely stay in Villa Petra. Petra and her parents were excellent hosts who met us from the airport and stayed in touch without being intrusive. They were responsive to any issues which arose. The location is delightful but you do need a car. The villa is in a beautiful valley surrounded by vineyards with cypress lined hills on either side. The pool is generous and has a fabulous view. The villa is well equipped and the air conditioning is modern and separately controlled in each room. It's a very peaceful location. It is 2.5km to Gruda which is a small village but has a bakery a well stocked small supermarket and a pharmacy. There are 4 bars/pizzeria - tried both pizzeria and food was excellent and they do takaway. Also went to Koraceva Kuca which is a traditional restaurant with a wonderful view over the valley to the Castle at Sokolgrad. We were also recommended to try Mr & Mrs Caput which is similar traditional fare near Sokolgrad. Also well located for a trip to Konavoski Dvori - traditional restaurant beside a lovely river with a mill. Dubrovnik 30km drive and Petra gave very good advice about where to park and what to do. An excellent introduction to Southern Croatia.

Had a great week here. Very nice villa set out over first floor with empty ground floor not used. Lovely large pool and welcoming hosts with wine and food provided on arrival for first meal and everything well catered for. Villa not overlooked at all with amazing views in an out of the way location but close to airport and a couple of local beaches and villages for restaurants. Cavtat a great place to spend a day or evening with a lot of choice of restaurants etc. We couldn't fault restrant Leut overlooking the water. Would recomend this to anyone looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing break.

The perfect Villa in a wonderful Country.
Villa Petra is perfectly located and surrounded by incredible scenery. The owner had left us a lovely welcoming lunch of ham, cheese, salad, wine, beer and ice cream. The Villa was spotlessly clean, comfortable and perfectly furnished. The swimming pool was heavenly. We will return another day.

What good looks like
I have rented villa over the last few years and this by far was the BEST managed and equipped villa I have ever rented. The owners could not have being more helpful. When we arrived they had a light lunch ready for us and all the essentials we needed in the fridge. This meant we did not have to run off to the shops straight away we could sit down and relax and go shopping when we were in the mood. The villa itself hand every thing you would ever need from excellent wi-Fi with a smart 65 in TV to chopped wood for the barbecue. There is an excellent beach only 10 min away but there is a major cliff walk to get to it but it is worth the effort. It is only 20 min max for the Airport so no long drive when you get here , but you will need a car. The highlight of the week was when we crossed the border into Montenegro by car on a Wednesday and drove to Kotor Bay ( the old town) it took about 45 min in total . The crossing of the border only took about 10 min and the views when we got into Montenegro were out of this world. And to top it all off the owner even arrived with fresh croissants for our final breakfast. So if you want a home from home in a beautiful quite area with a excellent pool this is the villa for you. I could not recommend this highly enough.

The villa is fantastic , with stunning views and very private and peaceful . I cannot say enough about the owners , he just couldn't do enough for us . Excellent stay
Not a lot to add to earlier reviews, mostly confirmation. Petra was unable to meet us on arrival (so we missed out on her local knowledge) but her father did and provided the usual supermarket to door service! A very generous lunch (inc. drinks) was provided but you will still need to shop for breakfast things like butter, eggs, milk etc. Again agree - must do trips are Dubrovnik and Gulf of Kotor, didn't rate Molunat as highly as others and didn't find Pasjaca at all but had a pleasant day on Srebreno beach. Cavtat is pretty and ferry into Dubrovnik very enjoyable - take the cable car once there for best views. The villa is well furnished inside and out, the kitchen has everything needed and family visits to clean pool etc were invisible to us! Villa is a bit out of the way from Gruda, in a quiet location but quiet roads made it an easy drive. And the view from the pool/balcony is uninterrupted - not another house in sight. Best meals were at Toranj in Cavtat and Vinica Monkovic in Ljuta.
