We had a very nice 2 day trip in Edenton, NC, staying at the Granville Queen Inn. The owner and staff made our stay even better. Lovely place, lovely people.
Very beautiful and well maintained historic inn. Breakfast was very good and service was attentive. We will definitely stay there again if we return to the area!
We were very well taken care of by Noah and Gigi the Innkeepers. We were there over Christmas and they even brought us dinner on Christmas day because all restaurants were closed and we were just going to eat something we had bought the day before.
We will come back to this Inn and to Edenton soon.
Super cute with lots of charm. We arrived late after the normal check in time but was able to communicate quickly to get our room. Room was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was delicious. Highly recommend!!
Property was beautiful although the bathroom was a bit outdated. However, it was very hot inside due to lack of thermostat, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Location is excellent and close to downtown restaurants and shopping.
This is a wonderful inn in historic Edenton Very walkable to shops, waterfront and restaurants. The innkeeper, Gigi, was very accommodating—even met us outside when we arrived and showed all around the property to be sure we felt comfortable. Morning breakfasts were so good out on the covered porch. Eve us out under the arbor or on the big front poetic were relaxing. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out. Fresh fruit and water are always available.
If you go in summer, be sure to take bug spray—mosquitoes are hungry—especially in the evening!
We would definitely stay again.
From the moment we walked through the front door, we were greeted and treated as special guests. Gigi and team were extremely hospitable, even making an on-request breakfast item to accommodate dietary preferences! Coffee is delicious and always available. The outdoor sitting areas were enjoyable, even in the above-average heat. Edenton is one of North Carolina's true gems and staying at The Granville Queen was the icing on the cake!

This is a Bed and Breakfast. They got the “Bed” part right with large rooms, quiet location and ability to walk downtown. However, they got the “Breakfast” part terribly wrong. The food was awful, something you’d expect at a cheap motel. Breakfast consisted of a small portion of crumbled, baked, over-cooked scrambled eggs, microwaved mini-sausage links and a dry packaged biscuit. Nothing was fresh or hot. Considering this is an expensive B$B, I expected much more. We skipped the breakfast after the first day and ate at the local Diner instead. Note to facility - Get a cook!
It pains me to only give this property an average rating and truthfully after our one night stay Im feeling generous with my rating. The queen bed in our room was horrible. It was hard and the bed creaked with every little move. My husband and I did not get much rest during the night. We both woke with back aches and soreness from the hard bed. So unfortunately it is hard to write about the positives of this B&B. For the nightly price I would have expected better mattresses and more comfort. We stayed in room #9 on the first floor. To leave this review on a few positives. The location was great. The historic homes in the area are beautiful and downtown Edenton was walking distance. Our room was clean and the large bathroom was nice considering it was a historic building.

Lovely, old historical home. In need of major cleaning and refurbishing. On corner of intersection so little loud with big trucks, etc passing other than that very sweet B&B. Wonderful full breakfast!!!! Nice staff however only visible in early am. The town is small, very walkable in much need of new restaurants.
