“Our stay at Y Cartws was lovely and relaxing, very cosy cottage. Was amazing to walk the ground and interact with the goats and horses. The nearby river was very relaxing to listen to, especially in the hot tub at night. Hot tub is at a set temperature which cannot be adjusted. Amenities were great, kitchen is well stocked with utensils and had delicious home made brownies waiting for us. Property was mostly clean but there was some negatives, bathroom was either mouldy or mould stained.……

“Thought it was a bit cheeky to be told at Check In Continental breakfast was included but cooked breakfast wasn't and had to be paid for in addition.”

“It would be very helpful to put a grab rail to get in and out of bath after showering”

“The host was friendly helpful and I had an enjoyable stay. Welsh breakfast was delicious and of high quality. Bedroom is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit away from the castle but 10 mins walk from pubs and restaurants so it is quiet at night. Host was helpful in trying to get me a taxi for Sunday which was a bit of a chaos. If I pass by there that would be the place I stay.”

“The place is dated and tired the beds were auful the one bed had not one but + uriene stains plus pubic and long grey hairs under sheets and mattress covers , and creaked a lot when getting in and out. Also duvet cover was ripped and although clean the towels were stained.If they get the basics sorted then it was value for money.”

“Nice and considerate treat from the hotel owners ( who are also a pair of married couple). Can't miss the delicious Chinese / Thai style dinner prepared by the kitchen!”

“We had a great stay. The free breakfast was good. When you book they need to give you directions, such as after last roundabout on A40 from Hwest drive 5 miles and turn right. There are no signs on A40. Katy the receptionist is AWESOME. Katy informed us of some great off the beaten path places to go.”
