"Hotel with lots of potential, really liked the swimming pool when it was open, 2.5m deep at one end. Room comfortable lacking waste bin and kettle. Rang reception and requested kettle as per instructions unfortunately it didn't arrive and we didn't chase. Car parking good. Tried to communicate with hotel prior to arrival numerous times via Hotels.com.com app, no response. I was trying to confirm parking, no issue in the end. Restaurant provided a buffet service for breakfast and evening meal, it was ok. Two very large tour parties dominated the meal times so probably didn't see it at it's best. Evening drink area not the best for comfort or service, a few more staff would assist."

"Villa Cristina – Wonderful Family HolidayWe stayed at Villa Cristina for a large family gathering and couldn't have asked for a better base for our holiday. The villa itself was beautiful — spacious, well-appointed, and clearly cared for, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own space while still having great communal areas to come together for meals and evenings.The setting made the whole trip feel special, and it was the perfect place to create lasting memories with the whole family. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we'd happily recommend Villa Cristina to any large group or family looking for a comfortable, memorable holiday.We'll definitely be considering a return visit!"

"I'm so happy that I found this location, we had a fantistic time!It's spotlessly clean, it has good air conditioning, a big heated pool, a pool table, table tennis, basketball and table football.It's completely private and has a gated driveway so you always feel secure.The kitchen is very well equipped, a TV in every room (with lots of channels). It's a 10 minute drive from everything you need.There are chickens so you get fresh eggs every morning!The hosts were perfect.. We didn't have any problems but they checked in with us occasionally to make sure we were happy.100% recommended!"

"The rooms are basic but very reasonably priced and very clean, with aircon and storage for clothes, just what you need! Breakfast at 6euros/person was lovely and served to you in your room. We ate out on our room balcony with breathtaking panoramic views of the castle and surrounding mountains. Lots of hot water, clean fresh towels (daily if required) and shampoo supplied. TV in the room and a full size fridge so you can easily self-cater if you are travelling on a budget. Rooms are so reasonably priced! Our hosts could not do enough for us very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. Hostal Duran is right at the edge of the bustling village, filled with cafe's, bars restaurants (tapas was a favourite for us) and shops. There is also a very clean outdoor public swimming lane pool and a leisure pool, with the fabulous mountains for a back drop at 2euros/person(cash only for the pool). A couple of parks for younger kids, a winery for the adults, a selection of clothes and souvenir shops, a local pharmacy and a high street bank. Great air conditioned direct train link to Malaga Central and a regular local bus service (cash only for the bus). Local taxi drivers are a fountain of knowledge. Andalusia is the home of flamenco steeped in history with hidden gems such as Alora, a must see!"
