Very nice resort. Next to beach. Pleasant place

Pros: It is QUIET! No children running hallways and slamming doors! No adults running hallways and slamming doors! Resort is spacious and has a relaxed feel
Cons: Wider parking spaces!
Location: Did not realize Road America was so close. Would have arrived earlier to go to their Vintage Weekend. Area near the lake is very nice.
Had some mechanical issues on a hot first day. A/C compressor was not starting on each cycle. Whirlpool would not shut off. Tried for an hour did not want to bother other guests but finally got it shut off. Minor maintenance issue. We had to leave early and return late from a conference about 70 miles away. Other guests would hog all the parking places on our side every day and had to park on opposite side of resort and walk around late at night after a long day. It is a large resort and a long way to walk. But these minor problems NOT A DETERRENT. We would stay there again.

Great family-friendly getaway

Posted Aug 15, 2014
My 4-year-old son LOVED the private beach. My husband rented a boat for a little fishing. I was able to relax. Fun for everyone! There are 2 outdoor pools and an indoor pool. I didn't try out the on-site spa on this trip, but I was tempted. The location is great for anyone who doesn't want to lift a finger on vacation (plenty of great restaurants in and around the resort), the entire town is walkable. For folks a little more frugal, the rooms are suites with full kitchens. The resort has a lot of character and a lot of history. The rooms are well-kept and comfortable.

Pros: The view of rthe courtyard & lake
Cons: Will let you know if I find anything on my next stay
Location: Auto Race Track
Entered my wife and I in an event at the Road America race track. Our stay at Osthoff was a plus in the short time we had off. Stayed Mon, Tues, Wed. Diner at Lolas Wednesday night. Nothing short of excelent. My wife spent half a day at the Aspira Spa. Said it was wonderful. All and all perfect time spent
