The rooms were clean and the property was clean. I got assistance checking into my room as well as when I checked out. It was a plus having a refrigerator in the room. I also loved getting 2 bottles of water each day. Thank you. Having a plant based diet, I was very pleased with the food options at the restaurant. The staff was polite, helpful and attentive. The grounds and units were clean and well maintained. The AC, water and electricity were 100% reliable. The restaurant served excellent food at drinks at reasonable prices (that is, there was no exorbitant resort markup; the prices were similar to what we pay at similar quality restaurants in the Accra area). Although the seawall prevented both direct surf views from our porch and easy access to the water, there was an open beach area only a 5 minute walk away where we could dip our toes and watch the waves. I recall that this was clear after a close review of their listing; anyway we knew about this issue ahead of time. Lemon beach is a must do destination if you are going to cape coast. We had an amazing weekend. The staff are all wonderful— we had special and excellent service from Prince; we were grateful for George our driver and his team for arranging travel. While the beach right in front of lemon beach is not for swimming you can take a walk down the path and take a dip. We woke up to birds and ocean sounds and an incredible compound with a pool; gardens, great food and bar and Saturday evening cultural event with dancing and drumming from neighboring young people. They were always genuinely helpful! They arranged our ride from Accra to resort and back. George was our driver and became like one of the family. Very knowledgeable about the land, customs, politics and local events. We will return. One critical critique, but we have stayed in 3 hotels in 10 days and had the same issue. We experienced it with the Lemon the last day of housekeeping, no facial or hand towels were provided. The Lemon only missed one day of this compared to the other hotels didn’t provide them even after requesting.
