Amazing staff and location

The listing for this includes a Continental breakfast along with 24 hour pool access however, when we arrived, we found both of those things to be untrue. When we brought up the issue with the staff member, she advised us “never to believe, third-party booking agencies“. The room was extremely dusty, along with footprints and a dark splatter on the bathroom wall, which we took pictures of and showed to the hotel staff who said there was nothing that they could do and that we could check out at any moment the next day, we asked the housekeeper to come in and clean. She just replaced the towels and made the bed did not address the bathroom at all. When asked if we could switch rooms or receive a partial refund so that we could go to a different hotel they informed us the hotel manager was out of town until Monday and again that we could check out at any moment.

Great place to stay in the quarter. Highly recommend.

This was our second stay at the Blake Hotel, strictly because of convenience. While this was definitely better than out first stay, there were certainly some disappointments. Being out of the French Quarter but nearby is, in my opinion, a plus. The noise is less in the evening but you are still only a couple of blocks from where the excitement it. However, the lack of hot water is a negative for me. The shower in the morning with warm water is tolerable, but not what I was hoping for. Also, while this trip I was allowed to use Valet Parking for my car (my first trip they said they didn't do that anymore), when I checked out I was told I had to walk a block-and-a-half to get my car myself because the street in front of the hotel was closed for an event.
