Beautiful Smith River Home

Loved the location of this home. Absolutely beautiful! Kitchen was well stocked.Owners very responsive. Great place to stay while visiting family in the area.Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this peaceful location with Smith River unobstructed view with our two kids and dog. The owners are very prompt to return communication & have thought of everything to make stay warm, entertaining and convenient. Both beds were very comfortable as well! Very grateful for the thoughtfulness of having cooking supplies, toiletries/laundry soap, evengames! Thank you!

Perfect little getaway on the river.

This rental was spotless, spacious, and perfectly located for River access, fishing and just enjoying the wildlife. It was nicely decorated with comfy beds, Nice linens. All the things you would need in the kitchen. Highly recommended. kitchen to cook

The perfect spot!

Our family had the best time! The property is in the perfect location, close to the redwoods and the ocean. We loved being so close to the river! It was beautiful and peaceful. A great place to relax after a fun day exploring. We hope to stay here again! Thanks!

The best river getaway!

The property is amazing. You can’t beat having your own access to the Smith River! We loved sitting outside listening to the river and roasting s’mores at the fire pit. The kids loved swimming down the rapids. The house was very clean and had everything you’d need for your stay! It was so peaceful there!

Majestic Area

We totally enjoyed our stay. Home is very well equipped with kitchen items including some food and pantry items. As well, there are lots of out door spaces, seating, games, kayaks and fire wood. The views are spectacular, magical and awe inspiring. We hated to leave.

Beautiful location, beautiful home!

This house and location was absolutely perfect if you’re a nature lover. At the house we were able to enjoy the river views all day. Multiple parks, trails and the ocean were all nearby. The house was well stocked with anything you may need and also had a great guest book with tons of info on things to do. Very comfortable stay. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend staying here.

Redwood Home Base

This River House had amazing views. It was a well cared for property and comfortable for our family of 7. We were able to to easily explore Redwood National and State Parks especially Jedediah Smith State Park. It was also convenient for exploring the Oregon Coast. We would recommend this property!

Idyllic location, a true gem

Our family of 4 had an incredible stay at this house. Situated right on the Smith River, the view is so tranquil and peaceful. Kitchen is well stocked. Ping pong table in garage was a huge hit with the kids. Beds are super comfy. Highly recommend! Owners are very nice and professional. House is clean and well taken care of.

4th time back! Better everytime!

This place is now a home away from home that we look forward to every year! I wish we could stay longer- one of these trips we will! They did some remodeling that is awesome! New murphy bed in living/dining space that can be closed off like its own, private living space with its own bathroom if you wanted that. You will not be disappointed if your looking for a peaceful, comfortable and clean place to stay right on the Smith! Thank you again, for sharing your home with us!

Absolutely Amazing!

WHAT.AN.AMAZING.VIEW!!! Quiet street, amazing views, wonderful back deck...this house had everything we wanted. The kids also enjoyed the pingpong table in the garage. If you are second-guessing whether or not to book this place, book it before someone else does! Honestly, my wife and three boys loved everything about the house; it honestly was the best way to start off our NorCal trip.

Lovely home in a beautiful location

The property was wonderful. The home is tastefully decorated and provided everything we needed to cook our meals and enjoy our stay. The hosts were kind, accommodating, and responsive. I made an embarrassing mistake by not scheduling our stay correctly and the owners were very kind and understanding when we hadn't vacated when we were supposed to. Our only issue was when a neighbor was cutting down trees across the street early on a few mornings, which disturbed our sleep and was a bit traumatic given our personal history with falling trees --- none of this reflects upon the property and the owners, of course. We'd be happy to recommend the property to anyone.

Beautiful Experience

This property is absolutely gorgeous!!! We had an amazing time in the redwoods. The house is located a few minutes from the Oregon border and redwoods. It worked out perfectly for our vacation being so close to the 101. The river was calming and beautiful. The house had everything needed - extra towels, cookware, washer and dryer, etc. The hummingbirds came and it was such a lovely experience. We left 2 fishing poles behind for other guests since we couldn't fly back to Florida with them. Thanks so much for such a beautiful 50th birthday location!!!

Disappointing.

Disappointing!views were amazing! Inside needs a good cleaning!!! Cobwebs and spiders inside and out! Pillows on couches dirty, Master bedroom rug needs cleaning, etc. Had to wash off chairs outside before we could use them. Grounds need some maintenance. Beds were comfortable. A shame, this could be an outstanding place!!

Not Clean

The location of this house was amazing. The river was high and beautiful to watch. There was not a lot of property but that was ok. I noticed the first day that the house was not as clean as I would of liked or expected. There was dog hair as well as dirt and other things on the rug in one of the front rooms so I found the vacuum and cleaned up. I did reach out to the property owner about that concern…as well as my concern about the original bathroom not having hot water (the water is backwards and you need to turn cold on in order for a hot shower, we were not advised of this before hand). We also finding hair and mucus in the additional bathroom. The property manager reached out saying they would discuss with their cleaning crew as they pride themselves on cleanliness. However over the course of the next two days I noticed more and more that the house had not been cleaned properly for some time. There is mold growing on the corner ceiling in the master bedroom as well as around the window in the main living room. This caused some breathing issues for my husband who has allergies and asthma. All of the bedroom and bathroom doors were dirty and looked to have months of dust and dirt on them. Walls had cobwebs and dirt as well as baseboards. Dead bugs were found in the main bathrooms ceiling as well. I took photos of all this and can only come up with this rental has being seriously neglected for a while. I don’t believe we will be returning.

Absolutely beautiful views right on the river! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed—and more. We experienced a minor maintenance issue during our stay, but the owners responded incredibly fast. Within 30 minutes, a crew arrived and fixed the issue promptly. It didn’t affect our stay at all. The hospitality, responsiveness, and location make this place a true gem. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others!
