Rooms were not cleaned on arrival. A phone call to the inn keeper was successful in getting someone to come out immediately to clean the guest house. For the price of this rental, the property was tired and rundown. The shower overflowed/leaked. The kitchen was nice even though we did not use it.

Our room was clean and had the essentials needed for our stay, however coming from Florida we are used to air conditioning, and there wasn’t any, but it turned out that opening the windows slightly helped to maintain the room temperature comfortable. The parking is on a first come first serve area and it was full upon arrival so we parked alongside
the building and all was well. There are several steps to enter the lobby, you must go through these with luggage when entering or leaving the hotel, quite inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was very nice, offering different food options.

"Room is located in a rundown apartment building, unprofessionally furnished with IKEA furniture. Front desk shared with another hotel a few blocks away. PS, there is an oversupply of hotel rooms in Iceland. Do not book in advance - price goes down in summer."
