Beautifully restored facility. I loved being able to stay in this historic building and learning about its role in the UofA’s past. I think every alumni should visit if not stay there.
My only knock was the desk clerk’s condescending comment when we checked in about “How everybody knows about the hotel brunch/bar/restaurants” when I asked about the difference between them and making reservations. Otherwise I would recommend a stay there especially during the off season when the rates are much more reasonable.
We loved our short overnight stay. I’ve always wanted to stay at the Inn. The room was clean, had all the amenities we needed, the staff was extremely nice and they had free baked-fresh chocolate chips cookies!
Breakfast was delicious at Ella’s. I’m regretting not eating there for dinner but we’ll do that next time! I loved staying on campus.
We love staying at Carnall Hall. Our son is entering University of Arkansas this Fall and we can't think of a better hotel to begin our family's journey. Carnall Hall feels like a home away from home, and we are so grateful to have this beautiful place to stay while we visit him, and make memories for the next four years together.
Love the location since it’s actually on the university campus. Pretty on the outside. Had issues with construction/remodeling and my room was hot. I just can’t sleep in a warm room. Room had lots of space and was clean.
Unique historical charm.
Our stay at The Inn at Carnall Hall was excellent from beginning to end. The building is beautiful and full of history, while still offering comfortable, updated accommodations. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable.
The location is perfect, especially if you're visiting the University of Arkansas campus, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. We appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, comfortable room, and the unique character that sets this hotel apart from a typical chain hotel.
If you're looking for a place with charm, history, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend The Inn at Carnall Hall. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Fayetteville.
This location was so convenient being right on the Old Main greenspace /lawn and they allowed me to leave my car parked while attending orientation activities. Hotel has a lot of beautiful historic features and is well maintained, with modern conveniences like a garden tub, high flow shower head, and lots of power and USB connections.
Beautiful location, the historic hotel is truly a Fayetteville experience!

Staff was very friendly and the place is charming. however it's missing some modern conveniences. the outlets in my room would only work when the light switch was turned on so made it hard to charge anything overnight. the bathrooms are outdated and inconvenient without any storage for your toiletries (pedestal sinks). staff mentioned a renovation and that will help spruce up the place. if you plan to use the pull out couch, there will be no room to get around it when in use.
An alumnus ’ dream! Easy walk to Old Main and Dickson. The room was super clean. The staff was so nice and accommodating.Bar was good but drinks were pricey. Would stay here again! Only docked a star because first night our bed was apparently broken and we had to change rooms, so slight inconvenience but no biggie. Will stay here again.
