Cheap, Clean & Comfortable

Very basic hotel but clean and comfortable, especially given then low price. Fine for a 1 night stay. Easy walk to the centre of Braga. Parking is a little dificult to find, but staff on the front desk are very helpful

The Church of Santa Lucia, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, is located on the hill of the same name in the city of Viana do Castelo. The church was built on the site of a small medieval chapel, known as a pilgrimage site for people with eye diseases. The construction of the temple lasted from 1904 to 1959. The eclectic-style Miguel Ventura Terra project combines neo-romanticism, neo-Gothic and Byzantine architecture. It is generally accepted that the architect was inspired by the forms of the Sacre Coeur Basilica in Paris. To the foot of the church at a height of 195 meters above sea level there is a line of a funicular built in 1923.
