“RETURN TO PARADISE” it is NOT!
When the room rate is between AU$400/500 p/nt one would expect much better
*Upon arrival we found AC unit completely rusted out & not working. Maintenance men got it going but we worried our whole stay it would catch fire in the rain.
Housekeeping were to change sheets every 3 days. To have bed made & clean towels we had to chase them up daily.
*Buffet breakfast-Regular shortage of plates, glasses, cutlery which we had to stand around and wait for. Always at least one major component of the limited variety of food on offer already gone. Another wait for replenishment.
*Samoan people are a very happy race as we found with the admin staff. The hotel staff appeared to be sullen and unhappy in their jobs.
*Internet was frequently unreliable. One day we had no access at all.
*Although the beach is stunning with great tropical fish it is misrepresented in resort advertising. It is unsafe with very limited swimming opportunities.
Unlike other Samoan resorts, maximising profits & minimising service seems to be the objective.
This resort would be lucky to be a 2 out of 5 rating
