"The staff were friendly, and room were lean. The hotel also has a cool, funky vibe that was neat to experience. But you can hear nearly everything from the neighoring rooms. When I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Also, when I went downstairs after checking in there was no one there, despite that the brew pub part of the hotel was scheduled to be open for another hour and a half. "

"Really, the round abouts getting into it are a challenge, and all the dining except Walmart is on the other side of I25. But the staff was great, the room was what I needed, and the breakfast a nice surprise. A good one."

"This is the kind of Motel I love and they are so hard to find anymore. It has all the old fashioned amenities and is welcoming. I love to be able to park right outside the door take my stuff in. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. I just wish they had been open for the restaurant and bar on Tuesday."

"Our hosts (G&M) were very responsive, provided fresh cookies, an extra reclining lawn chair, and gave us a great tip to view dark-sky stars over at nearby Trinidad Lake. I highly recommend you give this tiny home a visit if in the area."
"The home was exactly as advertised. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of well lit parking. House was very clean! Host was amazing! There was a door lock issue from the prior renters and she had someone there that same evening to get it fixed! Will definitely be booking this house again! "

"Amazing house close to everything in town but in a quiet neighborhood. Super clean, well-appointed and the hosts have thought about everything you could need during your stay. We had the best family weekend and would rent this again anytime we’re in town!"
"We absolutely enjoyed the stay. The home was beautiful and cozy. Convenient location for everything. Our dogs enjoyed it the most. Barking at Chico, the neighbors Chihuahua, and the park that is right around the corner. Lake Trinidad was a nice experience. "

"We loved the property! The house had plenty of room, the beds were very comfortable, having coffee available was great, using the TV was simple, we LOVED sitting on the porch and enjoying the views. My only cretique would be the backyard needs a little TLC, but honestly with the huge front porch with beautiful views we probably wouldn't use the backyard anyway. We would stay again for sure!"

"We were so surprised. We drove past, were a little unsettled at the facade, went in and still unsure. There is some remodelling going on. During check in, we were put at ease. She was so helpful, engaging & friendly. Then she said, we need to go outside and go through the red door! WHAT? Really? As we were walking up, she told us the place was built in 1883,added a little history and that we had her favorite room and why, then showed us in. SO SURPRISED. What character!!!! the TALL ceilings, the fun little refrigerator, the MCM fixtures. We loved the red ceiling and ceiling fan. The only odd thing was if you turned off the light in the sink area, it turned off the fan. The best thing wasthe bed. That was the most comfortable bed we've slept on in many hotel visits. Pure comfort and the best sleep. Thank you so much. When we come through again, we will definietly stay here. "
"Overall takeaway from 2 night stay:Property Host was verbally aggressive toward us, made false accusations against us, and stated she watched us with cameras.House was dirty and grimy when we arrived. Kitchen table was wobbly and not safe to use. The Property write up advertises an A/C; it had an old swamp cooler with mold and dust inside instead.Harassment, accusations and insults we endured from the Property host:Host verbally accused us of STEALING a coffee maker. We don’t drink coffee or tea!Host accused us of NOT taking out the trash after we had already disposed of the trash in the outside receptacle upon leaving. We were baffled by how she could lie to us and tell us we did not do something that we 100% surely did. Host accused my two well behaved ‘7 lb’ dogs of peeing on 'everything' in her house and 'everything' in her yard, including 'every' piece of furniture.House:Could not adjust house to a comfortable temperature.Kitchen cabinets were dirty and sticky with accumulated grime, especially around the hardware pulls.Dishes in the cabinets were sticky.The Refrigerator was dinged with pock marks and was not emptied of some of the previous tenants food.The Floor lamp had one light hanging out of the socket and popped on and off.Shower door tracks had a thick growth of black mold. Shower doors were coated with soap scum. We could only find one wash cloth.Cabinet door below bathroom sink was missing hardware. Available toiletries were weirdly random. "
