Wonderful home, beautiful location, amazing hosts!

The location was perfect for my family and I, we absolutely loved the fire pit! Shawn was an amazing host who was very responsive and gave us many recommendations to do around the area! We can’t wait to stay with them again!

Beautiful, quiet stay

Shawn was an absolutely amazing host and communicated very well. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were so comfortable. The property was beautiful. We enjoyed the games on the back porch and the view of the forest and wildlife all around. Shawn left snacks and drinks and even went above and beyond to get ice for us because we were leaving early in the mornings for a fishing tournament. The bonfire was set up ready to go with all the fixings to make s’mores! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you Shawn for sharing your beautiful home and property with us.

Peaceful and Private=Amazing

This home is exactly what we were looking for. Its in the middle of a state forest with hiking trails nearby. Our dogs had the time of their lives exploring right outside on the huge property. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit that they graciously had set up with wood for us due to rain but we took advantage of listening to the rain and wind chimes while sipping hot chocolate and playing Yahtzee on the covered back porch. I can't say enough about the property and the host. Shawn takes pride in her property and has thought of everything one would need and has it on hand. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The pictures of this house does not do it justice. Shawn was exceptional at communicating and checked on us to see if there was anything we needed.

Beyond Perfect....

I can't say enough good things about Shawn! From talking to her thru messages before booking until the moment we checked out, she was the best host by far. The pictures do not do the home justice, we were able to bring the side by side and ride it right there from the house all up into the forest, the location was absolutely peaceful and quiet and seeing the deer every morning, reminded of being back home in WV. She called at least once a week and checked on us to see if we needed anything, she made sure the house was fully stocked of EVERYTHING, from toilet paper and cleaning supplies to snacks on the counter and in the fridge! We enjoyed our stay so much, we decided to rent a property from them and so far Shawn and her husband Joby have been at the top of any scale for a landlord you could ask for! If you get the chance to book this beauty, jump on it, trust me, you will not regret it!! Thanks Shawn and Joby for helping us make memories to last a lifetime ❤️

Perfect retreat - 4th of July dancing weekend

We were traveling to the area for a 4th of July contra dancing weekend at The Dancing Fish of Lake Santa Fe and wanted to take our dogs with us. Shawn, the owner, contacted me immediately upon making the reservation and provided lots of very helpful information about the house and the area. We walked trails in etoniah forest and walked around the lake nearest the house. The dogs were happy, we were happy and the dance weekend was fantastic. Our nieces, who live in Dunnellon, stayed overnight the first night and devoured all the delicious snacks left in the house for us by Shawn. They were even able to make s'mores over the firepit. It was a truly lovely weekend and made so much more special by all the 4th of july decorations and obvious care taken by the owner. We will definitely stay at this location for future dance weekends and highly recommend it.

Even better than expected!

The pictures DID NOT do this place justice! Everything was just perfect!! So warm and welcoming from entry, to settling in, to not wanting to leave ❤️. Every little detail was considered and we found it all to be so thoughtful and kind. Yummy snacks, cold waters and comfy blankets were at the ready, games and movies to spend some quality time and the layout was great for two families to have space to connect and relax. Thank you so much for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable one.

Real Peace and Quiet

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were looking for a quiet place to escape to for a few days and this was perfect. So quiet and peaceful here. They have the most beautiful sounding wind chimes I've ever heard. The house was even better than the pictures, and the homeowner was so welcoming, kind and generous. We felt right at home. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's super close to hiking areas and borders state forest. We loved hearing the whipporwills in the evening and even got to see a firefly! We felt so refreshed from our stay here we can't wait to come back!! Highly recommend!!

Pleasant stay and was able to work remotely

My wife, our cat, and I stayed at this house for three months where I was able to work remotely. I would take the laptop and monitor out to the back porch and work the whole day (when dry) from there looking directly into the nearby forest. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked. Water pressure quite good. The host, Shawn, frequently checked in with us via VRBO messages to see whether we needed anything. Frequently saw three does - be careful as they sometimes appear in front of the car near the house. Would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect getaway! We have 3 very energetic kiddos and there was plenty of room for them to run outside and explore! The adults loved the game shelf! Everything from the snacks to the decor just made this the best place I have rented on any platform! The communication from the owner was prompt and very friendly! Perfect for us!

We had a great stay! We rented Blossom St. for the weekend for some R&R and it delivered! It is off the beaten path, which was perfect for us. Shawn is the most attentive host I have ever had! Everything is well planned, stocked, and clean! Cute decor, the most soothing wind chimes, great space, s’more set up, snacks/drinks, games, and pets allowed! She even had dog biscuits for our fur babies! The woods surround you with peacefulness. Definitely recommend.
