“VRBO owner Filomena Benevento's title should be the "ambassador" of historical city Tricarico! Filomena was gracious for having a late evening dinner with local goodies in the fridge due to our late arrival, to taking us on a tour of her city. Once she discovered we were wine producers from California on a research trip of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Aglianico in the Basilicata wine region, she arranged the meeting of local Cantina owners to view their vineyards and very historic cantinas. “We stayed with Nicolina for 29 days while I researched my family heritage. Nicolina took excellent care of us. Cleaned our room daily and provided breakfast foods each day. The home made bread and farm fresh eggs were awesome. Our time went by way too fast. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. We will be back. Thank you Nicolina for making us feel at home.”
