Built in 2009, the museum is one of the more modern ones when compared with some of the other museums in the area. The Fort Worth Cultural District is known for the many impressive examples of 20th-century architecture among its museums. Look at the sprawling red form of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and you will immediately get the sense that this is far more current. Note the unusual geometric shapes employed by the renowned Legorreta architectural firm, which designed the building.
Step inside the building to discover a wealth of exhibits covering an enormous number of different subjects across science and history. Take your kids to DinoLabs and DinoDig for a hands-on lesson on dinosaurs, discover the ways of the past at the Cattle Raisers Museum or take a seat in the IMAX theater to see a movie on a massive screen.
