Cute hotel

Pros: Nice decor, nice part of town and close to sights.
Cons: The internet which kept going down.
I stayed in the refurbished part and it was really nice. Cute decor, great surrounding area, not too far from the main sights and felt safe. The only problem is that the internet would go down every now and then, which would be a problem if this was a business-related visit.

Basic hotel in semi-central location

Pros: The Hotel was an excellent location for the event I attended. 30mins walk from the main train station if you didn't want to take the 10min taxi ride.
Cons: Rooms are very basic and in the hot summer are uncomfortable for sleeping as noisy with windows open - no aircon
I was a late arrival and this didn't phase the staff who were welcoming. Entrance could benefit from an update and the accessibility to the rooms is limited if you are with people who are not so mobile or struggle with steps.

Great location

Pros: See above.
Cons: The remodeled room I was in had a cupboard with shelving only. The hotel said they are thinking of changing so that one can hang clothes.
Location: I love Sachsenhausen where the hotel is located. You can walk easily to downtown, but there are busses, tram, underground and above-ground trains.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. I love the location, the service, the price. My single room was small but it was all there.

We have a very pleasant stay at Maingau Hotel. Very well located in the center of the city, it is a very practical hotel with all the basics you need for a business visit to the city.

Had a great time!

Pros: The great location close to everything. Also, the breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Very near the old part of town which is very charming, has lots of English speaking stores and restaurants. There are bars near by.
The Maingau Hotel is in a great location. You can walk across the footbridge to the main square in less than 10 minutes. The front desk personnel were always friendly and helpful. This is not a 5 star hotel with air conditioning, but it is charming and clean. The breakfast had lots of selection. There is an elevator and the room was a decent size. Some of the nearby bar employees only speak German so we went over to the main spare to eat, etc. Also, we liked the proximity to the train and tour bus tours. It only took us 10 minutes by taxi to get to the tour bus for the Rhine River cruise. We found the Taxis are cheap and honest in this city. Would stay here again!

Avoid if you have a car and need parking

Pros: Location to good restaurants
Cons: Offer free wifi and dedicated parking for guests
We arrived late at night and was greeted by a pleasant lady at the check in desk. We searched for a car parking spot for 30 mins with no luck. There is a public garage that charged us 6 euros and was half a mile away, which was no fun with suitcases. The road in front of the hotel was small and busy and we did not have time to unload on a public road. To add insult to injury the internet was an extra 12.5 euros to use. The gentleman at the desk who charged us for the internet failed to mention that there was a cheaper option of 5 euros for 30 mins even when asked. On the plus side, Breakfast was great and so was the check out staff. Overall disappointed with the stay.
