"Good location well maintained "

"Our group of 4 adults explored by rental car. The Cairns Harborside Hotel was easily located from the Cairns Airport. Staff very friendly. Both outdoor and indoor dining available. Food was good. We especially enjoyed the outdoor dining and live guitar music during Happy Hour. Harborside Hotel is an easy drive to Kuranda National Park for fun scenic railway and skyrail. --- Kuranda is a small, very modest community. Main street is filled with several empty storefronts and many tourist restaurants/souvenir shops. We were disappointed."

"From arrival to departure we were very happy with our stay. We were a little early for check in but were happily accommodated and allowed to leave our hire car (about to be returned) at the front entrance while we unloaded and took our luggage up to our room. We stayed in one of the Superior City/Mountain rooms on level 7 and had a great view over the newly refurbished pool area and beyond to the city and hills. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, a small balcony and many nice touches throughout. We enjoyed cocktails by the pool and happy hour at the bar during our stay - both great. The pool area was a lovely place to hang out (even though some of the new decking does not appear to be quite complete, this did not impact our use if the pool). The water temperature was perfect on a hot day - slightly refreshing when you first get in but perfect for cooling off, and the spa pool was nice and hot if you wanted to warm up. The location is great, easily walkable to the lagoon, wharf area, a woolworths for essentials and many eating options. Rusty's Market for some great fruit selections was about a 10 min walk and the shopping centre just a little further. All staff we encountered (including cleaning staff) were friendly and helpful and we were very happy with our choice (we had considered many options in Cairns). We would happily stay here again. "

"The pool was great. Only they need to check pool towels as they ran out a couple of times.The girls on reception were excellant couldn't enough for you. Would most definitely recommend and stay there again."

"I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the last ten years and every time has been wonderful. This visit was no exception. The hotel reception and other staff were so welcoming and helpful. Rowan the night duty manager was incredibly accommodating and we wanted to thank him personally for going above and beyond. Looking forward to our next visit to Cairns and hope to stay longer. "

"Exceeded our expectations by far. The club level room was so worth the extra cash…the view of the water and marina was spectacular. The room is a little dated as is the rest of the property but it is immaculately clean and the staff incredibly welcoming. The breakfast buffet was vast with something for everyone (the scrambled eggs weren’t good though). Wouldn’t hesitate to return for another stay. "

"Excellent hotel for a city break. Check-in was quick and efficient. Location is excellent, right in the middle of the city. Room was clean and modern. WiFi worked well. Comfortable beds. Spacious clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Light switches are a bit confusing to work out, but not a big deal. Overall, highly recommended and would definitely stay again."
