A beautifully designed boho chic two-floor flat is the top apartment of a duplex that dates back to 1915\. It offers a fully stocked kitchen, smart TVs, heat and AC, a relaxation room, gas fire pit and grill. Walk to downtown Frederick and all of the shopping and activities that downtown Frederick has to offer, yet sleep in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts live on-site in the downstairs apartment. Pet friendly ($50 per stay pet fee, for up to two house-trained dogs. Dogs cannot be left unattended and should not bark excessively) You are: \-A 7 minute walk to Market street, the home of downtown Frederick’s famous antique shops \-On a quiet, low-traffic street \-A 5 minute walk to Baker Park, where you can relax and watch a free outdoor concert \-Minutes away to Carroll Creek to see the boat display \-10 minutes from Gambrill State Park beach, hiking and campgrounds \-25 minutes to several local wineries including Linganore, Black Ankle, Hidden Hills, & Orchid Cellar \-45 minutes from Gettysburg National Park THE SPACE: \-Inquire about booking on-site personal chef services (offers a completely customized menu), and private massage services. \-Prime location to downtown Frederick, in a quiet and quaint neighborhood \-A historic home built in 1915 that still has charming remnants of the past, like stairs that creak and plastered, imperfect walls \-Spacious two-floor upstairs apartment, completely renovated in 2021 (Please note there is a tall flight of stairs to access the apartment) \-Smart TVs \-Ductless mini split AC and heater maintains a perfect temperature year-round \-Relax and hangout with games, coloring books, record player \-High-speed internet suitable for multiple streaming devices \-Outdoor fire pit with chairs \-Patio dining set and a gas grill GUEST ACCESS \-Guests have the entire apartment and backyard oasis to themselves. Other things to note: GETTING THERE \-Frederick is about 45 minutes from Washington, D.C, one hour from Baltimore, M.D., and 45 minutes from the Dulles Airport. \-The home is located just off of Route 15 and Rosemont Ave, near Baker Park. PARKING \-Plenty of street parking is available. \-(Street sweeping happens on Mondays 12a-7a and Thursdays 12a-7a. Park on the opposite side of the street the evening before street sweeping.) ENTRY \-Your unique code will be provided 24 hours before you arrive for your stay. The code changes after every guest. The apartment is accessed via a flight of stairs. BEDROOMS \-All beds are memory foam mattresses. \-BEDROOM 1: Queen memory foam mattress, smart TV \-BEDROOM 2: Queen memory foam mattress, smart TV, relaxation room, en suite bathroom LIVING ROOM \-Large 4 seater couch, two chairs \-Board games, coloring book, record player KITCHEN \-Completely remodeled and fully stocked with everything you need to cook for yourself \-Mr. Coffee coffeemaker \-New appliances \-Electric stove \-Electric kettle \-Blender \-Dishes and utensils set for 4 \-Bakeware, storage containers AMENITIES \- We provide basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash can liners, laundry and dish detergent, towels, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, and a variety of spices. Other amenities for your comfort include makeup removal towels, blow dryers, feminine products and a first aid kit. These amenities are a great foundation! If you’d like extra items or have personal preferences, you are welcome to bring those. THE LOCATION The home is within walking distance of downtown Frederick and a 1 minute drive to the nearest highway (Route 15). The neighborhood is peaceful and full of families. HEATING AND COOLING A ductless mini split heating and cooling system keeps the temperature perfect year-round. Each unit’s temperature can be adjusted using the remotes that are mounted to the wall, but all units must be on the same setting, that is all must be on heat or all must be on cooling. INTERNET Fast internet can accommodate multiple streaming devices, browsing the Internet, virtual meetings, and gaming. OUTDOOR SPACE A secluded and private backyard features a gas fire pit surrounded by four chairs, patio dining set and a gas grill. String lights add an ethereal touch. THINGS TO DO Visit Downtown Frederick’s antique shops, breweries, and restaurants which are all within walking distance. Or, you can go to nearby hiking trails or to a winery. A curated guidebook will offer you multiple options for things to do during your stay. SECURITY To ensure the property’s security, there are exterior motion sensor lights as well as an exterior doorbell camera. HOUSE RULES Please read these rules in their entirety before booking to make sure this is the right place for you. No parties or events. A Ring doorbell security camera on-site (records the exterior only) can alert us to extra guests and party supplies coming into the home. Guests in violation risk immediate cancellation plus a claim on the deposit to cover extra cleaning and any damage. We also have a noise monitor that does not record. Consistently high noise levels will be flagged and you will be asked to turn down the volume. Both of these policies help us keep the neighborhood peaceful and enjoyable for your stay. This historic home has very old plumbing pipes. Please only flush toilet paper to be kind to our plumbing system. As above, any need for us to call a plumber to fix a damaged or clogged pipe may result in a claim on your deposit. No smoking Not suitable for young children 2 and under as this home is located up a tall flight of stairs and there is a flight of stairs inside the home. We do not have baby gates. Check-in is 4PM onwards. Check out by 10AM. Our cleaners need the extra time to perform a thorough cleaning in between guests. Thank you for understanding. Self check-in with keypad. The code is the last four digits of the primary guest’s phone number. (The primary guest is the person who made the reservation) This is a no shoes house, so please bring your comfy slippers! All shoes must be taken off at entry. There is a shoe and coat storage unit in the mudroom entry. We charge a $10 fee per rug stain left in the home to compensate our cleaners for the extra work. Please understand this takes a lot of extra time and cost to clean and we pay our cleaners a living wage. \*\*Important\*\* Please make sure you read and comply with these rules: No smoking in the home No extra guests No mailing packages to the home. No parties of any kind inside or on the property. Please respect the community. Noise level must be minimal after 10PM. We do not want complaints about noise. Violation of the noise/party rule could result in the police being called, and will result in termination of your reservation, and the security deposit being retained. It’s convenient to all sites and amenities in downtown Frederick, but tucked away so you can enjoy a feeling of home. The place was just far enough off the main restaurant and bar areas but close enough to walk everywhere. Bedrooms were both well appointed as was the rest of the house. We loved the location and had hoped to use the hot tub but got back too late to make it work. Next time. Only a few blocks off Market St. you are within walking distance of everything you may need. Cute stores, great bars, and plenty of great eating spots. The house is in impeccable condition.It's an upstairs apartment with an outside backyard entrance. If you have mobility issues this may not be the right choice. The apartment itself is two floors so there is an interior staircase as well. One of the greatest things about houses of this time and quality is how soundproof they are. Charmingly decorated and well stocked you feel like your staying at a friend's house while they are out of town. AC was great. Bathrooms are great. Kitchen was great. Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Meticulously clean. I will definately stay here again on my next trip. Only one word of warning. Pay attention to the owners instructions regarding parking. Wonderful, responsive hosts. Apartment was exactly as described. Beds were comfy and bathrooms/kitchen looked newly renovated. Backyard patio was perfect - hot tub, fire pit and table/chairs. The record player was a fun touch! Parking was free and easy to find. Gorgeous, trendy home with super comfy beds, beautiful tiled walk in showers and hot tub in your own fenced in yard. Located in the heart of Frederick, close to all the restaurants and things to do! Place was clean and offered a lot of helpful amenities. I was grateful that Laura allowed our two pet rabbits to stay with us, and the bunnies did well (meaning they felt safe too). One note is that the mattresses were much firmer than we're used to and like. The location was wonderful and so convenient to shops, coffee shops, Baker Park, Hood college and more. Laura was very helpful and quickly answered any questions we had. The apartment is very well appointed and looks just like the pictures. The home is older and there is a bit of wonkiness but that only added to the charm in our opinion. Note there is a flight of stairs to enter the home. The property owner was extremely responsive to a couple of minor issues. My sister and I loved the separation of space. Lots of natural light and individual heating/AC units in each of the major rooms. It was walking distance to a fantastic park and walking area. The access was fairly steep stairs that was a bit challenging for heavy suitcases.
