Abby's Place 4 - Rocking On Route 66
Home away from home just minutes from downtown, Abby’s Place is for you. This fun suite is a throw-back tribute to the Southwest in the 1950s along Route 66 featuring an authentic 1950s chrome dining room table with red leather seats! Comfortable living area, full kitchen and a cozy Jacuzzi bathtub. Custom bed décor & flat screen TV adorn the bedroom & are ready to provide a restful night. The bed is beautiful and comfortable but sit high off the floor. (There is a step under the bed.) There is a wood-burning firepit in the yard. Sitting outside by the fire and looking up at the stars is one of our favorite activities while we are there. This is the perfect place for romance, relaxation, and rejuvenation and is ideal for an extended visit for 2 but accommodates 3. Adjacent to Suite 5 & perfect for 2 couples or family together. Conveniently located for activities and festivals in Fredericksburg but also central to other Hill County events, such as touring wineries, concerts, hiking, cycling, horse racing, car shows and more! For nearby hiking at Enchanted Rock, see https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/enchanted-rock. For list of local cycling, see http://www.hillcountrybicycle.com/Local_Events.html We do not offer breakfast on premise. Instead, we provide coffee, tea, water and snacks in each suite.

Great location just a few minutes drive to Main Street and a short drive to the 290 wineries. Just the right size for a weekend stay in a really quiet part of Fredericksburg. Would definitely stay again.
This was a great place to stay. Very clean and decorated cute. Comfortable bed and roomy. Perfect for two people. Ted and his wife were so friendly and gave us some info on where to eat and hang out. Sunset grill for breakfast was a great recommendation.
My wife and our two young girls stayed for the weekend. The space was just right for us, but it might be tight for four adults. The location is close to the main attractions, but I would stay closer to downtown if you don't want to drive and look for parking. That said, parking was pretty easy to find during our stay. Check-in/check-out was extremely easy, and Ted was proactive in sending instructions and directions.
First off, the hosts to this property are fantastic people. Their communication is outstanding and their tiny home is perfect.
It’s a split duplex and you can’t beat the location. The bed was great, the a/c cooled like it should. There are no complaints at all. My wife and I come up every quarter and will make sure this is our go to place from now on!! A hidden gem here!
The StayPROS: Room was nice. Area was calm. Rocking chairs & bench was a plus. Everyone was nice. ( - We got some stares, but no bad vibes or words, everyone was pleasant) Location was great (kinda hidden to the side) in the middle of all wineries throughout the town (never had to rush anywhere). Didnt get to use Fire Pitt due to the rain, but we felt safe inside from the storm.CONS:- Space between doors (bathroom & bedroom) was too small. Knobs kept hitting and trapping someone in.- No Hot Tub outside (Jacuzzi Bathtub in bathroom)- Dead Frog Under Couch, Stained Mattress n Sheets (scared the girls) Wineries:- Grapecreek Vineyards( This is what you want when you think Winery Tour & Tasting it was THE BEST THING EVER. Toured the fields and the process, it was great, no member for the membership upfront and its optional - you just pay for your wine at a great discount ... 10/10 Thank you Western & Laurie)- Invention Vineyards(Sophisticated, refined sparkling wines, no member for the membership upfront and its optional - you just pay for your wine at a great discount ... 7/10 Thank you Jared)- Grapetowne Vineyards(has a safari, grapestomp - low buget/cost effective, and a wine tasting - 2.5 of 4 are AMAZING ... 7/10)All were amazing and gave different views and insights to wine and the land ... it was breath taking and life changing.
I loved this place! It was perfect for our getaway. My daughter is away at her first year of college and Fredericksburg is the half way point between her and home. We met up here just to be able to spend a little time under the same roof together and to make her some home cooked meals. We shopped a little one day and went hiking another day and then we sought respite here to relax, catch up and enjoy each others company over home cooked meals. It really is a great place, the only complaint I have is the kitchen sink. I missed in the pictures that it really is only the size of a bar sink and not full size so it made clean up complicated. However, there is a huge bathtub you can resort to for washing dishes. I still give this place all thumbs up though!
This place was perfect for my two sisters and I to stay. The only down side was we wanted a place with a hot tub. This place advertises a hot tub and we couldn’t find one by the suites. It does however have a nice big jacuzzi garden bathtub. The things we loved about it:
It was well maintained inside
Had lots of amenities like a welcome book that had a full guide of the area, welcome snacks, free WiFi, Roku, extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, iron, extra pillows, extra sheets for the pullout couch, coffee maker, wine bottle opener, snacks, bottles of water, lots of dishes and silverware. It was like our own little house right on the edge of downtown. It had a fire pit I front and rocking chairs to relax it. The best part, compared to all the other places we looked at this place had the best price and location for what we needed. It’s perfect for 4 or less people if 2 are willing to share the bed and 2 the pull out couch. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 star is due to no hot tub, but I would absolutely stay in this place again.
Great location close to Main Ave. Check-in was seamless and the place was very clean!
In a quiet neighborhood with a nice little yard— definitely recommend!
