Endless ATV Riding , Kayaking, fishing, and hunting are among several outdoor adventures you will find appealing to your senses and in the area. Come rejuvenate your body, soul, and spirit! PS . No grill available. Pets must be kept off furniture and NOT PERMITTED IN AREAS WITH CARPET.

We had wonderful time. It was a gorgeous place to stay. Loved how it was in a wooded area away from others. The house was well kept and clean. The only inconvenience was the host would show up without any notice. Coming to check to see if we needed the trash taken or needed anything else is nice and fine but would have liked a notice that they were coming by.

Almost heaven
We stayed here to be fairly close to family for a visit, but it was so much more than just a place close by. We sat around the campfire, walked along the Buckhannon River listening to the rush of the water, walked up and down hills and listened to evening songs of the whippoorwill. It’s a curvy drive back from the highway, but that’s part of the joy. Beds were all comfortable and spacious, and Brenda was very helpful when needed as were the folks down the road when we walked. We saw deer, bear, and the usual woodland creatures.

Great cabin
Great place just above the river. Lots of space to spread out. Pool table, dart board, and fire pit all on site. Very clean. Great experience overall.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was spacious with plenty of room. The kitchen was fully furnished. The bedrooms were well stocked and had plenty of extra blankets. We enjoyed the fire pit, the pool table, and darts. The large wrap around covered porch was nice also.

Kick-back, relaxing get-away
Great rental property. Brenda and her husband were so kind. We were able to rent kayaks for the kids and take them on the creek. Was just what we needed to kick back and get away from our busy jobs. Wi-Fi worked great so we could stay in touch as needed with our business. The house was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay.

We had such a great New Years weekend here! The cabin was lovely and so cozy, perfect for the rainy weather. Brenda also graciously drove us a different way out after checkout since the road in flooded, which was so nice and above and beyond!

The kids didn't want to leave!
We rented the property for three nights and it was just not enough! My kids (14&11), who usually like to watch tv, play game consoles or any other electronic they can get their hands on, actually stayed outside! They LOVED that we were able to see the river from the front deck, had so much room to ride atvs on and the all of the trophy game hanging on the walls. The cabin is spacious and cozy at the same time! The basment offered pool along with darts. Which the kids loved too. It was like a home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you could need. Beautiful views! We loved it and can't wait to return!

Family getaway
We rented this property with the understanding that it was ON the water, as in walk off the deck a couple steps to get to it, which it wasn't (ad makes it sound that way. It was very comfortable, hostess very friendly and helpful. But we paid pet fees and then at check-in were told our dogs couldn't be in the bedrooms w/us - don't recall that in the ad. Place could use a little more light in some places, and should have instructions for the fireplace/wall heater to avoid confusion and having to contact the hostess. I would still recommend this place and we had a great family trip. Thanks Brenda!

We enjoyed all the forest that surrounded the cabin it was quiet and peaceful and relaxing just what our family needed! Mrs.Brenda was always responsive if we were in need of something. House was very well taken care of and one of the cleanest places we ever stayed. We had such a wonderful time thank you Mrs.Brenda and family for showing us such great hospitality would return again!

This was the most wonderful place to get away and relax the owner Brenda was awesome. Whenever you go and stay in a place you’re always worried how you will sleep. Everybody in are party sleep wonderful. I would highly recommend this place and make sure you go see the hand blown glass maker in Weston they have such beautiful things.

Beautiful mountain getaway -- nature, adventure and an averted tragedy... quite a weekend!
I could write a book about our stay at this excellent cabin near French Creek. But time and space won't allow. The cabin itself is really nice, well equipped and spacious -- amazing hunting trophies, perched a little way up the side of a mountain above the Buckhannon River with a great view of the river below and nestled in woods all around. Brenda, our host was wonderful to deal with and very gracious. While I am speaking of her I'll end your suspense and tell of our near tragedy. On our third day we heard the sound of a freight train coming by. The tracks wind along beside the river below the cabin and the broad deck of the cabin overlooks them. We all went outside to watch the train go by, but when it was directly below us, the engine sounded its horn. It was so loud that it spooked our three dogs. One ran back into the house, another ran to the other side of the deck at the back of the house, and the third, a 10-month old sheltie pup, literally vanished. No one saw him nor where he went, but after searching everywhere, inside and out and underneath, it was clear he had run off in terror and disappeared into the woods somewhere. We spent hours searching for him, then as darkness fell, Brenda showed up with her ATV and asked me to come along. She seemed certain we would find him. I rode with her stopping at various places around the area to either call for our pup or speak with neighbors about him. After a little over an hour, having covered all of the terrain around there without success, she returned me to the cabin and informed me that she would be back in the morning to renew the search. Thankfully, I woke up a little after 3 AM from a fitful and exhausted sleep and walked to the front door to discover our puppy sitting on the other side of the glass looking in at me. It was a joyous reunion and I woke the house fussing over him. I can't thank Brenda enough for going above and beyond to help us in our time of need. It's one thing to find a great little cabin for a long weekend in the backwoods of West Virginia, but it adds another whole degree of gratitude to know you are renting from some really good people. Thanks again Brenda -- we hope to visit you again some time! And I'm still thanking God he brought us to your place and for the happy ending.
