We highly recommend visiting the San Juan Islands, Friday Harbor, and staying at the Trumpeter Inn Bed & Breakfast. Pros: Close to town (5min), centrally located to head to any part of the island! County Setting (5 acres) with livestock you can feed! Our room had an en-suite bathroom that was clean and had modern fixtures. Wonderful hosts! Claudia, Tyrone & Sveva. Claudia made an amazing breakfast each morning. She even baked chocolate chip cookies daily, there was also coffee, tea, & hot coco available at any time for us to have from the kitchen. The Alpacas and Pygmy Goats were so adorable and friendly. (Semi Con) Our initial Con was the room did not have a TV. But as our stay went on, we thoroughly enjoyed not having a TV in the room, it allowed us to disconnect more and take in the beauty of the island and surroundings. They do have a family/TV room, but we never felt the need to turn it on. Claudia is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to take care of her guests. Every detail at her bed and breakfast is thoughtfully done—from the delicious homemade breakfast to the cozy, comfortable beds and perfectly kept rooms. I especially appreciated the convenient bedside charging stations. Claudia is also an amazing cook, and every meal was wonderful. My dad and I loved spending time with the goats and alpaca—it made our stay even more special. We can’t wait to come back. We had fun feeding the goats & llamas. We even had a cup of coffee before breakfast sitting out by the grazing field watching them. Check in was easy, breakfast was perfect, it was out 1st Bed & Breakfast experience and it was so good. The bed was very comfortable & adjoining bathroom was very nice and roomy. The bed with 600 threads sheets was very comfortable, and with great views to the countryside.
