We were passing through Gander and needed a convenient place to lay our head for the night. The Albatross was exactly that. The staff were great and the hotel wasn't far from anything.

It's a well established spot on the TCH midway across Newfoundland. There are additional amenities nearby. They let me do my laundry before checking in. Staff in front, restaurant, and lounge were great to me.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel could use some updating, but our stay was excellent. The lady at the front desk for checkin was fantastic! I believe her name was Cathy. We will definitely stay again!

Don't overlook this hotel. The staff here makes this hotel special. They went above and beyond for us. Newfoundland hospitality is alive and well here. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well. A wonderful homecooked meal. The hotel is a little outdated but very clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend if your in Gander for a quick visit.

I liked the service in the dining room with Mandy. However my steak was not great, just okay. The vending machines were empty, it was difficult to get bottled water and snacks. The room (254) was very outdated with old carpet.
