5/5 Excellent

Nice little retreat
Found the property to be just as advertised. My family of five squeezed in here and were just fine for 3 nights where we were spending 12 hours a day in Yellowstone. Access to park was great and town of Gardiner is neat. Location of property is perfect and as described in terms of walkability to good restaurants. I will reiterate that which is mentioned throughout the reviews -- this place is tiny. Know your guests and what they will tolerate. It's clean, new, but tight. The review that said there isn't room in the bedrooms for your suitcases is correct (except in the loft). But if you are using it as a place to retreat from Yellowstone or other fishing/rafting adventures just in the evening, it's more than doable for several nights. Thanks very much to Liza for her easy contact and directions/instructions. We had no direction issues with GPS.

So great!
Absolutely loved this charming cabin. Location is perfect for seeing yellowstone. And flying pig rafting company is awesome too, thanks for recommending them.

5/5 Excellent

Great place to stay!
This cabin was a great place to stay and had beautiful views of a river and some elk in neighboring yards. We took advantage of a local horse back ride which was lots of fun. It's very close to the Yellowstone entrance which was also a plus! Super easy check in and check out!

5/5 Excellent

Perfect little cabin
Enjoyed the small cabin, perfect size for husband and me. Very clean, tv but not hook up-but has DVD player, so bring movies, laptop or computer to hook up to tv...lots of wildlife..cabin is downtown, so u can walk to everything . Definitely would stay in the Eagle Nest again.

4/5 Good

Good cabin, great location - but make sure size matches your needs
Location - Very nice view of the Yellowstone river and the hillside up from the park entrance. The site is a very convenient walking distance from just about everything you need in Gardiner: a grocery store, restaurant, coffee shop, even a post office. Be sure to follow the owner’s written step by step instructions on how to find it. Google and GPS will not take you where you should be, even if you put in the exact right street info. Size: This is not a large place. Bedrooms are small and if you are using the bunk beds you should know they are a bit small as well. If you move the bed in the master a few inches (for instance, to get at something you dropped behind the headboard) you will not be able to close/open the bedroom door. Those using the loft bed will be climbing what is basically a nice ladder. All that said, this cabin worked reasonably well for our party, but maybe not for everybody. Kitchen: Good news, you get a full size oven, stove and fridge along with a decent assortment of cooking pots and pans. Bad news, you don’t get a dishwasher and you get very limited prep space. You can cook, but for anything significant, you’ll be doing your prep at the table in the main living room area. Parking The cabin has exactly one parking spot and it would not be fun to put a large vehicle in that spot. (Our Nissan Murano fit fine). Any other cars are going to have to be parked curbside on the main street, so plan accordingly
