"Pool and staff are amazing!!"

"Upon arrival, the front desk didn't seem organized at all. Seemed like a poorly trained staff. Once we were escorted to our room we noticed the bar fridge wasn't stocked and the floors were not mopped (still dirty from previous guests). The room was spacious. There wasn't any hot water in the shower :(. We did eat at the Italian restaurant, but i can't say that the food was that great either :S THE MAIN COMPLAINT - my husband received a call from his doctor back home that his test results came in and he needed to get back home and be admitted to hospital ~ this was a truly unexpected event. So the day we checked in, we had to book a flight home the following day hence only staying 1 out of 7 nights. We explained this very unfortunate situation to the front desk manager and we felt that she understood the urgency and would request a provision on our account as we had to fly back home. A month later, we were informed that the hotel would NOT refund any portion of this stay - BAD KARMA Azura Beach! This was an emergency, we provided hospital documentation from our return and they chose not to offer any compensation. I realize that we were past the cancellation date, but common, that's POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!"

"Wonderful staff, even decorated my room for my birthday. Hotel is beautiful, clean, and walking distance to the beach. The pools are lovely, especially the second pool and hot tub."

"Staff is very courteous. Clean room. Beautiful grounds. Expect limited seating around the pool because this area is small. Ocean is a flat 5 minute walk. Restaurant was delicious. Free breakfast with choices was a bonus. This small hotel does everything right."

"Wonderful boutique hotel in the jungle! I’ve never had anyone do my laundry before! Such a treat! We LOVED our stay there and Nosara in general. We will return and would stay here again. "

"Rooms are adequate and clean but hotel is starting to show its age. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool area could use some umbrellas for shade. Breakfast is ok but could use some variety rather than just 3 choices. "

"The room was nice but dark. I suppose the rooms on the second floor are nicer. The staff didn’t seems to like their job. Or tired of girats maybe. Nice pool area. Note that this is a family hotel. It is not a calm romantic place. Breakfast was poor. I think that americans are the target for this hotel. "

"This place was such a nice treat after a really long string of bad days. From the moment i was greated by the front desk I just felt weight lifted and I was able to relax. The bed was incredible, the property was beautiful and they even helped me park my boat in the parking lot which was greatly appreciated. I was so sad I wasnt able to stay more than one night. "
