The room was clean, and bed (and pillows) were very comfortable. Elevator system very efficient and quick, even though hotel was very busy. Centrally located. Staff were helpful when asked. Onsite underground parking very convenient and reasonably priced (especially self-park) for downtown. The hotel is close to shopping, restaurants, and other attractions.

Smooth check-in. The hotel isn’t walkable to downtown…. And not many restaurants open in a Friday evening. Staff were wonderful and the breakfast restaurant was fabulous. The hotel was very quiet even though they were sold out.

Fantastic stay in this converted Catholic high school. Check-in was quick and easy. Had a great conversation with the manager and got some history of the building. After we got settled in, he even took us on an informative tour of the building, including the 'chapel room' and auditorium. If you get the chance to book it , it is a great 2 bedroom with an entire wall of stained glass windows. The room we had was huge (an entire classroom) with full kitchen (minus an oven), and separate sleeping area. Hot water in shower with decent pressure. Everything was clean (except a couple glasses) and the dishwasher resolved that. Keureg machine made getting coffee quick and easy. There are books available in every hallway, a gymnasium and a pickleball court. Parking lot in back made access easy. Hotel breakfast ($10 credit) is in a juice bar on lower level. Downtown, restaurants and shops easily walkable Leavenworth (first city in Kansas) has lots of history, national military cemetary and federal penitentiary. Local Hotel always has something going on also, in addition to rental availability for special events. Something for everyone. Highly recommended hotel for overnight or multi-day stay.

Overall, disappointed with our stay. Definitely not worth what we paid for. There is not a front desk person so its hard to ask any questions or get any issues resolved unless the restaurant is open (we called the manager phone number that we found in the community room and they didn't answer). Also, the email listed on their website does not work. We were not provided any information about Wi Fi access or check out times when we checked in and that information was no where in our room. We had conflicting check out times on our reservation confirmation email and with no one to ask, we decided to wake up early to make sure we didn't incur a late check out fee. We didn't have the chance to dine at Ophelias but there are a few cafes and restaurants withing walking distance. Depending on the purpose of your trip, this may or may not be the right place for you. There's potential with this place but I would not recommend at this time especially for the price (must mention we visited during the World Cup).

Looks like it’s from the 70s with nothing but basic maintenance since. There’s a huge water feature in the conference hall that is just one step above being held together with duct tape and baling wire. Desk staff was efficient but personality of rocks. I won’t stay there again.
