"What a lovely, comfortable, and convenient place to stay while visiting the area. We three ladies walked steps to the town square, shopped the grocery store and bakery, and walked the town wall. Sonja the host communicated promptly with us and gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. This location allowed us to travel easily to Colmar and nearby picturesque towns."

"We share the positive reviews of many aspects of this property. It's very spacious (although the swing of some doors cause odd pinch points). We were only three, and would have used only the ground floor but for an issue (see later). The kitchen is well equipped, the induction stovetop was great to cook on. The location is properly noted, but Marie's L'épicerie in the village was closed for August vacation. (Which I imagine is an annual event.) That meant we needed to drive 6+ km for morning bread and shopping. As implied in a couple of photos, the outdoor area is almost entirely covered in paving stones. Oddly, there was no outdoor lighting. We asked and received some tea candle lamps, which were lovely but didn't produce enough light for reading, playing cards, etc. Having to duck under the vines to get into the house became tedious. The house instructions are in French. In a few instances (e.g., for the stovetop) more extensive and multilingual guides would be welcome. The "queen" beds are just 140cm wide -- narrower than many couples may be used to. (Perhaps this is a French nomenclature issue.) After two nights, I moved to a single bed on the second floor. The stairway is quite steep and the steps narrow (by German standards anyway); perhaps a challenge for the elderly and young."

"This was a very large property which catered well for our needs. Communication was easy. The town was limited in what it offered but this could have been due to holidays. Free train passes were provided which was great. Extra and firmer pillows would have beeen nice! Thank you very much for a lovely stay."

"Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a 24-day trip. The village where the hotel is located is quiet and about 20-30 minutes from the villages on the Alsace wine route. The young man who checked us in was helpful, but for some reason not especially friendly. The room was small, but was clean and overall comfortable. There is a restaurant on the main level and a large patio for enjoying meals outside. This hotel is very popular with Europeans, so many people were smoking on the patio, which would have made it unpleasant for us. The dinner prices seemed high, so we ate elsewhere. Never saw the pool that is mentioned in the description and it was not mentioned by the staff...? Plenty of free parking in their lot or on the street. Would consider staying here again."
