By taking the boat, we were able to enjoy seeing the remote coastal areas of the park where trails do not go. Tip: wear real shoes and not flip-flops. It is a hike after all. The tents are amazing and the beds comfortable without having to deal with any threat of insect life etc actually inside the tent apart from the odd mosquito especially if it rained (just take some mosquito coils with you). Being in a valley, noise tended to travel especially at night if anyone was partying but generally, once re indeed people were thoughtful. The restaurant was very good with a good range of food all day and in the evening if you booked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Staff here are very friendly. Chef's cooking is simple but very delicious, with home feel. Easy access to nature esp. to National Park in Penang Hill.
