  • Sandbanks is a modern building located on the waters edge of the stunning bonefish flats. Turtles feed just yards away from the house. It is well-equipped, beautifully furnished, very well-appointed and private. The property boasts a heated infinity pool, a pool table, a ping-pong table, kayaks, paddle boards.

    We have a small, man-made beach (ideal for the little ones) and a dock which you can use to board rental boats. Access to the water is via the boat ramp and the water height varies from a few inches at low tide to 5ft at high tide.

    We are located 10 minutes away from George Town, which has restaurants, grocery stores and banks and 30 minutes away from the airport.

    Sandbanks is one of the few houses to have solar power, and a generator which automatically kicks in when the power cuts out. Power outages are frequent on the island so it's important to have this reserve power source. Our hot water is heated directly by the sun. We have recently installed a $200,000 solar farm to cope with all the property's energy requirements.

    We can organize excursions, chefs, masseuses (or pretty much anything) when you arrive and we have contact details in our visitors manual which we send out when you book with us.

    Flights to George Town (GGT) are direct from Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nassau (Bahamas) and Toronto (Canada).

Josh is an excellent host providing a great welcome service and very responsive. It was a perfect location for our family of 12 and there’s no lack of things to do. The home has more room than we need what to do with.

Sandbanks

We stayed at Sandbanks lodge for my husband’s 40th Birthday. The house is in an excellent location, just a short drive from restaurants and beaches and has unbelievable views.

This is definitely “off the grid” but the house is outstanding. We had a group of 16 (4 families with kids) and had plenty of space. No shortage of hang out areas inside and out, and the water toys were awesome - kayaks and paddle boards to go out to islands and sandbars. Josh was great, anything we needed was a very quick response away.Definitely need a car rental. There’s no where to walk to and there are not many taxis (esp for large groups) so get a car and drive SLOW once you hit the dirt roads - we popped a tire TWICE! House is worth it though. The water was unbelievably beautiful and the kids (big and little) had a great time.

Anniversary Trip

We came to the Bahamas to celebrate a 40th anniversary. The island, the house, the water- were perfect. And the Bahamians were so helpful and kind.: Awesome!

Amazing stay

We came with a group of 16 and the house accommodated everything we could have imagined. The kitchen was large enough for our group and room to cook, all of the kids had comfortable beds, including the adults, Josh, the house manager was very responsive, and the pool was big enough to accommodate our group as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Dream Vacation

The house was gorgeous!! Very clean, modern, plenty of space. The views from the house were breathtaking! The pool was beautiful! We walked from the house to the island, simply gorgeous!! The owners are very responsive and kind. The road to the house is an adventure, just rent a SUV. But once you arrive to the house, it's worth it! Can't wait for our next stay!

Our stay in George Town was enjoyable, and Joshua was a truly great host. He maintained excellent communication throughout our visit and was always quick to respond to any calls, which we really appreciated. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore.While we thoroughly enjoyed our time, we did notice that the house could have been cleaner upon arrival. Additionally, we found ourselves needing to purchase more day-to-day products like toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and dish rags, which would have made the stay more convenient.All in all, we had a good stay and would recommend it for the responsive host and excellent location!

Amazing home

Loved every minute! James was easy to communicate with for the months prior to our stay and Josh was great when we arrived. Home was clean and perfect for our group of 10. We enjoyed walking the sand bars and low tide and jumping in the pool at the end of our beach days. Amazing home amazing people to work with. Thank you James and Josh!

House perfect for a large family

Our family was very comfortable and enjoyed the accommodations, pool, kayaks, location to many island activities, and short distance to the Georgetown airport. The views from the many balconies of the water and sandbar was spectacular. There were several issues that were resolved quickly. This is the reason we are giving it a 4 rating.

Heaven on Earth!

This is a dream house! We were 2 families, 8 adults and 2 children. The house has 3 levels. The younger couples stayed downstairs on the pool level with the games room. Perfect! The rooms are all spacious with en suites. The master is out of this world. We rented a boat for the 10 days we were there and a couple of jet skis. We caught and cooked fresh lobster, crab and fish every day! Holiday of a lifetime!

Amazing memories!

House was amazingly beautiful and couldn’t ask for more amazing views to wake up to every morning! We had a group of 12 with 4 teenagers who loved every minute! The roads to the house were tricky but made it ok with the rental mini vans. Watch out for pot holes! The house had everything we needed to cook , towels, washer and dryer, kayaks, and paddle boards. Pool was great and even had a daily visitor who became our vacation mascot “Chewy”! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to get back there!

Stunning and comfortable

The house was more than comfortable for the 10 people in our party. Everyone was pleased with their rooms and the master suite was outstanding. Beautiful and interesting artwork throughout. The pool was a fun gathering space! And the kayaks and paddle boards were often used by our group. The QR codes with instructional videos were wonderful! So helpful. And Josh was readily available for whatever we needed - which wasn’t much! We highly recommend this property for your next vacation!

Amazing Trip!

We had the absolute best time at Sandbanks Lodge! The property was even more beautiful in person and was everything we hoped for and more! I group of us came down to Exuma for my husbands 50th birthday and had a wonderful time. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. James and Joanes were easy to communicate with and they made sure everything went smoothly for our trip. We had a few questions and needed help w some stuff at the property and Joanes was extremely helpful. He helped us sent up boat tours and fishing too. We cannot wait to come back!!

Exuma 2024

This place was amazing! It really had everything we needed and was very spacious. I will say, the road getting to the property was a bit bumpy and more like an off road experience, so make sure you have a vehicle suitable for getting to and from! 😎 Josh, the property manager was very attentive. One of the showers didn’t work in a kids room and the gas grill didn’t work upon arrival. In the property’s defense, we didn’t mention it until departure. We’d definitely book again! 🏝️

Paradise

We had the great pleasure to spend 5 nights at Sandbanks Lodge. This all new villa has a lovely design and a lovely location with private access to the sea. It is actually better than what the pictures show. The kitchen is fantastic and very well equipped. The only thing we missed was a blender. The visitor’s manual provided by the owner before our arrival was very helpful and informative. We visited many of the spots recommended. Jonas, the care taker of the house, escorted us from the airport and was very helpful during our stay. We can warmly recommend this lovely house. We were only seven, but the villa could easily take 12 adults (18 if 6 are children).

A little slice of paradise

Our week at the Sandbanks Lodge was everything we hoped for and more. The house is gorgeous with well-appointed rooms and kitchen. The outdoor space was where we spent most of our time. The kids loved the pool and the dock & outdoor swings. Hours were spent fishing and playing in the water. Communication with the owner was easy and he was very responsive. Josh, the caretaker, was always available for any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this accommodation. Two notes: the roads to access the property are challenging, but we had a minivan and still managed just fine. Secondly, if traveling with small children we brought our own life vests (easy inflatable ones that were very packable on Amazon).

This home was perfect for our large family group of 17 people. Very spacious and accommodating from teenagers to 60. The home looks just like it's pictured. The bunk room can actually sleep 6 smaller children if needed. We had some minor maintenance issues, but the property manager Josh was excellent in terms of responding and helping us out. The view was gorgeous, we loved our lazy mornings and evenings in the outdoor spaces. We were an active group, so we snorkeled and used the kayaks nearly everyday. We even went over to the blue hole near by and saw a sea turtle. If I had to offer items for improvement, I would say the kitchen just needed more hand towels and couple of dish clothes and we could have used a bigger gas grill as we did a good amount of cooking for our group. Overall it was the PERFECT place to celebrate a family vacation. We would totally return!!! ADJ
