I booked this hotel largely because the sauna overlooking Autostadt seemed like a great way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Unfortunately, although I was told the sauna was open until 10:00 PM, it had not been turned on when I arrived at 8:30 PM. Calls to the front desk went unanswered, and the sole employee on duty was busy assisting a queue of arriving guests.
While the room was clean and comfortable, the experience was disappointing because one of the hotel's key amenities was effectively unavailable. Travelers planning to use the wellness area may want to verify that it is operating before arrival. Also worth noting: there is no coffee maker in the room.
