"The hotel was great! We had a wonderful stay and had all the amenities we needed. Transit passes were included which was wonderful and made it easy to get into Salzburg."

"The hotel itself is beautifully located near old town and yet it’s still in a very quiet and peaceful area. The breakfast was excellent and the room was a good size and the bathroom was well laid out and the shower was exceptional. Parking also worked out for us in our three days stay and was a decent price considering where right smack in the middle of the city of Salzburg."

I thought I was booking an inexpensive hotel conveniently located near the highway. This place far exceeded my expectations: this hotel could be a destination in itself. The swimming pools (in and out), the grounds, the decor (handcrafted, unusual furniture).....and the breakfast! Fabulous.

Wonderful experience in this amazing hotel. To the points that matter the most: room was very comfortable (including very nice bed and excellent shower pressure); breakfast with great variety and good quality; staff very polite and helpful; check in and check out very fast and efficient.
Definitely coming back and definitely recommend to others!

Our stay from 17-20 May 2015 at the Schloss Hotel in Salzburg, Austria, was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel so beautiful and picturesque. The front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were absolutely customer oriented and very accommodating to our requests. The front desk made all of our tour reservations; they treated us like royalty!!!! The restaurant staff was superb; the food was delicious and very filling!! And, we...

This was just an all around excellent stop outside of Salzburg. The village was one of the nicest I've seen in Europe. Don't miss the cemetery, it's beautiful.

Amazing staff, very friendly and family owned hotel!! Because it’s family owned, it has working hours. BE SURE TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 3PM - 7:59PM (5 hour window). There will be nobody there after hours, and if you’re arrive late, you have to give them a heads up a few hours ahead. Not very convenient if you’re flying in late, however, the rooms are SPACIOUS, and the bathroom is nice!!!

Leopoldskron was a highlight of a 6 country/7 hotel trip. Friendly staff, beautiful property, and easy access to old town via car or taxi (typically about 10 euro each way). The main building is an amazing thing to explore...beautiful rooms and great history. Our room wasn't in that building...more plain jane/contemporary design but on the same property. Hotel staff was very friendly/helpful. Grounds/gardens were a bit rough...didn't detract from the stay at all, but was surprising to see...

Centrico, puedes caminar por el old and new town. Tiene lugares cerca para comer y la estacion de tren a unos pasos. La verdad muy bien ubicados. Puedes caminar, la ciudad es muy segura.

From the moment we stepped in, the place was special. From the keeper to the room to the food, the whole stay was great. We had wished we stayed longer, and will definitely be back next time in Salzburg. Highly recommend

Beautiful property. Awesome location. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff great too.
We had a problem with our first room. They tried to fix the tv and couldn’t, so they moved us to an upgraded room. However, when we got to that room- immediately we can hear the toilet running. So we say thanks but no.
Emma, at reception, was fantastic. She was really busy with other customers- but she managed to get us another room. Guess what- no internet… it’s an old building with lots of stucco.

Located on a square, directly opposite Mozart's house, this graceful and gracious hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. It is within sight of the pedestrian bridge (the "locks bridge") across the river to the old town center.
Our junior suite was large and well decorated, with a wonderfully spacious bath. Mirror everywhere. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast is a feast and included with the room. Irresistible pastries, abundant and delicious cheeses, slices of ham, prosciutto, turkey...

The best area to stay in Glasenbach is generally within the central part of the town, particularly around the main road, Glasenbachstraße, for convenient access to amenities and transport.
This central area offers a pleasant, residential feel with easy access to local shops, eateries, and public transport connections that quickly take you into Salzburg city center. The Glasenbachklamm, a scenic gorge with walking paths, is a great natural landmark just a short distance from the main road.
For families, staying near the Glasenbachklamm provides excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and walks in nature. The proximity to this natural attraction means children have space to explore, and the area is generally quiet, offering a relaxed environment away from the city's bustle.
Couples looking for a peaceful retreat with good connections to Salzburg will find the central Glasenbach area suitable.

The weather is generally pleasant and mild, making it superb for exploring the scenic landscapes, lakes, and trails. This is also when many outdoor festivals and events take place in the region, offering a chance to experience local culture.
