Tucked away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, is a quiet hideaway located just a few miles outside the quaint little Village of Intercourse, PA. Many Lancaster County attractions are nearby: Kitchen Kettle, Strasburg Railroad, Dutch Wonderland, Amish Quilt Shops, Rockvale and Tanger Outlet Malls, Sight and Sound Millenium Theatre, Shady Maple Restaurant/Smorgasboard and other Restaurants with Amish Cooking, Buggy Rides, Hot Air Balloon Rides.

The apartment (over 850 sq. ft!) under the great room of the owner's home is warmly decorated and peaceful. Renovations in 2023 included a new kitchen, freshly-painted walls, enhanced lighting, and new furniture. It includes a comfortable featherbed, flat-screen TV/DVD, seating area with fireplace, dining table and stocked kitchen (sink/refrigerator/stove/microwave/coffee maker.) A small stackable washer and dryer can be used for small loads of laundry. Separate parking for our Hideaway guests. The spacious backyard features a large gazebo, perfect for picnics, and you are invited to stroll through perennial gardens bursting with color during the summer or relax in the hammock.

Perfect for a girls weekend!
We absolutely loved our stay, the hideaway was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Everything we could have needed was provided and wonderful little extras like the amish friendship bread and delicious coffee! It was a rainey weekend we would have loved to give Riley more attention! We will definatelt be back!

perfect weekend getaway
The Hideaway was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a short weekend getaway. The property was very clean, fully equipped with everything you could need, and the free coupons to their coffee shop was a great touch! Their golden retriever, Riley, was super friendly and always greeted us with a wagging tail. The Smuckers were great hosts, they responded quickly to messages, and made the check in/out process very easy. We definitely plan to stay again!

Hideaway Stay
This vrbo rental was immaculate. It is well stocked with household essentials and felt like home while staying there. The host was very easy to communicate with for check or if you needed anything during your stay. The two coupons for a beverage at their coffee shop in town was an added bonus. The grounds came equipped with a playground for kids and a gazebo to watch the sunset if you so chose. My wife and I stayed there for our anniversary and hope to stay there again. For those who decide to book this rental, you will not be disappointed.

The Hideway couldn’t have been better, convenient, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and surrounded by beautiful farms. The yard is very welcoming with blooming flowers, and a gazebo to sit outside and relax. Riley the dog greeted us and visited us while sitting outside. Probably not a better place to stay in Lancaster County for a couple! Highly recommended!
