Gore Bay Vacations from $793

This is my first time sharing info on my hotel stays. I was told by Expedia virtual chat to write a review since there’s nothing they can do. I had a major fall in the hallway. The cleaning staff left a bag of dirty clothes on the floor right beside a huge bin taken up space on the other side of the hallway. Hallway’s being so dark and me coming from outside I couldn’t see very well. She said something and looked at her while waking to my room and tripped over the bag and fell. I have been trying to talk with someone and no luck. I guess note to self; look down while walking. I did hurt myself but I am so glad it wasn’t an older lady.

Booked it in past since close to amenities and ample parking, and had good experience with options with breakfast. However, at last stay the breakfast choices were limited and not tended to as diligently. Also, needed to remind them that we required additional towels given the number of people booked in room on a daily basis. Water pressure was an issue in another room which was booked for an additional family member to which when addressed to front staff, the solution was not adequate. Overall the stay was satisfactory but can have improvements. I was disappointed given I had stayed previously and had a much more positive experience.

Rooms are updated and nicely appointed. They were updating exterior which is needed. Such soft nice sheets and beds were comfy. Breakfast was worth the $5 each. Nice buffet, service and cook to order. Pool was nice and warm but ceiling is falling/peeling maybe part of the next renovation? We had dinner and drinks in the hotel restaurant very nice and good service.

We had an ok stay. We stayed for 3 nights, staff were amazing I just didn’t like the fact that some homeless people hang out there and use drugs while I was walking my dogs early am. It was actually scary. But nothing against the hotel it’s just the location I guess
