Excellent stay here, 3 minute walk from the train station. Beautiful views. The staff who I believe were the owners went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. They go the extra mile prepping breakfast. Would recommend to any of my family members or friends.

Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. This is an amazing hotel perfectly situated directly across from Grindelwald First. When I say directly across, I mean you can be at Grindelwald First in less than 5 mins. Less than that if you can walk a slight incline quickly. You are also perfectly situated by the shops and restaurants! The hotel is beautiful! Now, I’m going to be honest. The rooms are not updated or fancy…more like a holiday inn….but the staff more than makes up for the simple/old rooms. Every single person was so nice, kind, and helpful. Georgia was especially helpful to us! We appreciated her advice! The outdoor deck was beautiful, and the restaurant was fantastic! Also, the location could not be better with amazing views.

Beautiful hotel. In the heart of Interlaken. Close to the train station + short driving distance to the Falls. Looked like a great spa but we couldn’t use it because of Covid. - you need a Swiss Covid QR to enter Spas + restaurants. Otherwise a beautiful experience.

Amazing service and beautiful hotel! We loved the views from our 3 large windows with views from every angle. The included breakfast was delicious with many hot item choices as well as a buffet with various breads, fruits, cereals and yogurts. I enjoyed the cappuccino and my husband loved the hot chocolate. I felt like we stepped into a fairytale. Thanks for a delightful experience!

An absolute gem worth the drive!! Originally we thought we would be much (much) closer to Lucerne but we were pleasantly surprised with the town and LOVED the hotel. The bunk beds were great for the kids. The pool was so fun and the breakfast was GREAT. We got in late and the staff waited up for us which we were so grateful for as we got lost heading in from Interlaken. The town was stunning and had this lovely, peaceful atmosphere. I’ve provided many reviews in the past as a simple courtesy, but I am obliged to submit this review based on yet another memorable stay at the Aspen. This was my third stay and the experience continues to be a 4+/5 star feel. My very well-appointed 3rd floor, corner suite had such excellent views of the surroundings, I ordered room service each night. A beautiful, historic property with fabulous views over the lake to the Alps. Excellent staff and service. A very good meal in an elegant dining room with a view to the waterfall. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling in the Interlsken area.
