Staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English. Breakfasts were wholesome, though less choice than some other establishments elsewhere. Still good value for money.

Comfortable room, amazing staff, great breakfast. Short drive to Bastei Bridge. In addition the on site restaurant served a fantastic evening meal. Highly recommend.

Stayed for one night because my husband had a business meeting in Pirna. March is clearly off season - a great time to enjoy the gorgeous view of the Elbe River in peace and quiet. Our room was spacious and clean, with that gorgeous view and a huge balcony. The bathroom had enough room to keep our toiletries in there. I really appreciated the extra magnifying mirror and ampel towels. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Traditional local specialties, full meals and snack options. Enjoyed a glass of the local wine while soaking in the soothing river view. The main dining room has a great small collection of Saxon Switzerland art. The next morning we savored the nice hot and cold breakfast buffet served in the medieval breakfast room. The hotel staff was very understanding, and let me store my bag there while I used my free ferry card (included in room price) to cross the river for a shopping walk around historic Pirna. Plenty to see and do, and lovely cafes and restaurants. Already planning our next trip.
