What a wonderful place to stay! We loved the vibe of Casa del Sol Inn. It was very clean, the breakfast was delicious every morning. They can arrange outings, transportation, or whatever you need. Elizabeth, Alicia, and the entire staff are dedicated to making you feel welcome and comfortable!

Charming Decor

This is a lovely oasis in the busy center of Ajijic. Gratis breakfast was great and the courtyard pool was a plus. Highly recommended.

Casa del Sol is a beautiful boutique B&B. The common areas are stunning and our room was spacious and elegant. The proprietor is a lovely and gracious host. The breakfast was large and very tasty. It is located a short distance from the main square. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues.

The property is beautiful and conveniently located near all of the wonderful things to see in Ajijic. They were always homemade goodies like cookies and muffins available to guests in one of the lounge areas. Elizabeth, the property owner, was wonderful offering to help us plan any adventures we were looking for. My only complaint is that hot water was spotty at best. There were mornings we had to take a cool shower because the water never got hot in the bathrooms. I made mention of this early on in our stay, but nothing was done about it. The logical explanation would be that multiple guest rooms shared the same water heater, and that the other guests used up the water before it had time to heat up again. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would stay there again.

We can't say enough about our wonderful stay at the Casa del Sol in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico! Casa del Sol is perfectly situated in El Centro, within easy walking distance to the plaza, church, shops, the Malecon, and restaurants. The hotel is deceivingly spacious, considering its low profile from the street. When you enter the front atrium, you find yourself in a very large covered courtyard adorned with lush tropical plants and amazing artwork and sculptures. (All the art is for sale!) From there, the rooms spread out across two floors, interspersed with outdoor terraces, a guest kitchen, a guest lounge, two rooftop terraces, and multiple nooks for reading or enjoying a margarita. The backyard heated pool is immaculate and so inviting. We enjoyed afternoon swims every day. The rooms have Mexican charm yet come with all the modern conveniences including air conditioning, televisions, and spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is included with the room and includes Greek yogurt topped with granola and fresh fruit; menu selections such as pancakes and omelettes which change daily; bacon or sausage; etc. The hotel's owner greeted us every morning with coffee and answers to all of our questions about Ajijic, local restaurants, and the area culture. The staff were amazing. Casa del Sol is hands-down the best hotel we've stayed at in Ajijic. We've already made a reservation for our next visit!

We had an excelllent two night stay. It’s a beautiful small hotel, centrally located, within a short walk to restaurants,shopping, and with a rooftop terrace that has an amazing view of the town. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well-decorated. The staff was great and super helpful. The owner Elizabeth introduced herself at the delicious complimentary breakfast which was a nice touch of hospitality. It was a perfect stay in Ajijic and I would highly recommend it to a friend!
